Questions & Answers
I believe it fits ezgo medalists and TXTs from 1994 and up
There's nothing positive to say about them
Depending on how you mount, you can go either way. It's impossible for a normal person to compress them because they are so extremely stiff. The springs have been removed entirely and the shocks are used instead
Fitting a 2002 easy go TXT golf cart will not compress the spring since there is no way to compress the spring except by being Superman, and we know he does not exist, so doing this will be like screwing you twice the same as when I bought these.

My 2006 EZGO TXT was fitted with these. As I had read some people had difficulty getting on the front of their cart, I only ordered a pair to assess whether they would work with my lifted cart. The spring compressors I tried did not work because there isn't enough space between the springs and shocks to safely compress them. In order to make them work, I put them on the rear and got regular HD shocks for the front, without springs. This saved me the trouble of disassembling the front end. However, I still needed to disconnect some rear leaf springs to get them to operate properly. The reason they didn't get fitted to the front is that they still ride super stiff on the back with batteries and a heavy load. They raised the rear another 2 inches after the first lift. I hope they will loosen up later. I like the look and don't have to worry about it sagging under heavy loads like before since I have it lowered by 3 inches. In turns, the handling is a lot better now at full throttle. A total of 4 inches of rear stance widening was achieved by adding rear wheel spacers of 2 inches.
Even a single person could not install the shocks easily, but I managed with a little bit of Although I would rate them five stars, there is no way to hold the coils off the shocks during travel, so you have the sound of the shock on coil on every The sound is not loud, so I will get used to A shim at bottom would help maintain a good holdoff so the roller does not rub against the surface. I gained 1 point on the positive side. I have an extra 5" of clearance above my 25" off-road tires This is the tire for the road. In combination with the heavy duty shock, this eliminated all tire scrub in even the most radical bumps and ruts. I am overall satisfied with this project. While I travel thru my hunting land, I may construct my own spacer shims to make it silent again.
With a mid-level lift kit on my 07 EZGO, I have a little lift. They took a lot of time and effort When they are turned on, they make a lot of noise. There is a constant squeak coming from these things! The after-installation height is 3+ inches greater than that of the stock models. This led to my steering rod being pushed right up against the very edge of the cart. I will have to order an extender since the shaft is loose on hard turns and large bumps. The rear end of the cart should be on jack stands and the rear tub only needs to be dropped, then the rear should be raised up with a jack to align the rear. The first thing you need to do is remove everything and follow the installation procedure. An axle jack and a couple of ratchet straps help get everything in place.
Tire rub was fixed, these were a little longer (3"), but I dropped the back spring hangers and it was no problem to install them and they did not rub.
I noticed my golf cart did not contain any shocks in the back, so I figured I should add them nonetheless while I was Getting the application up and running was easy. There is only one difficult component There are four top bolts to which the access cover needs to be removed. The ride is much smoother and the ride height is increased. It squeaks quite a bit, but that's the only negative.
It was not possible for these to fit without modifications to my six passenger L6. cut the rear supports of the cart to clear the top of the shock housing or I would have interference with the cart frame. In addition, I had to modify the spring by cutting off two coils since it was overly.
However, shock is not to blame. Because these were a bit longer than stock, I did not have a way to compress them. As a result, I used a bottle jack to compress the shock and a heavy hammer to tap it in To get the bolt into place, I had to act quickly. After several attempts, I was able to figure it out. I am happy with the end result, but not due to shock.
Once you have the springs in place, you will need to compress them to get them to fit, but once they are seated, they feel flexible and yet stiff. So far, I'm really enjoying them. I will use both in front and in.
