I own a Ford F-150 pickup truck. The original brackets on my 150 4x4 had rusted out, so I needed to replace them. According to other reviews, the bolt holes were too small in comparison to the frame hole. And, yes, I agree; I used larger bolts that fit the frame holes, so I enlarged the holes in the bracket and replaced the hardware. The holes appear to be in good shape, and the bolts provided appear to be adequate. But I'm one of those people who believes that bigger is better, and I'd rather have a titer fit. Everything went smoothly, and I had no trouble swapping out the two sides. Oh, and if you're replacing the bracket, I'd recommend getting new bushings while you're at it. And if you need to drill out the original rivets, get some extra drill bits. I used an 1/8 drill bit for a pilot, then a 5/16, 7/16, or 1/2 for the head, and a good sized metal chisel with a 2 pound hammer to knock the head off after drilling part way through, and a punch to knock the rivet out of the frame. Once you've got everything set up, the job goes pretty quickly. Yes, these brackets are something I would buy again.
Fits like a factory part, with the exception of the part fitment tip. This part's fastener holes should be drilled out for 1/2" hardware. Use 1/2" grade 5 or higher bolts with appropriate grade mechanical locking nuts instead of rivets when bolting to the vehicle frame.
It goes together easily, but keep an eye out for the brake and fuel lines on the inside of the frame. On one side, because the old bushing allowed the arm to destroy my bracket, it made the radius arm bushing replacement easier. The old riveted on one will be missed, but this was a great substitute.
Factory bolts will not fit through the holes in the frame, and the supplied bolts will not fit through the holes in the frame. In addition, the radius rod is made incorrectly and does not fit properly.
This item is not compatible with a 1997 Ford F350. br>I went to all the trouble of removing my old bracket, only to discover that the holes in this one were spaced differently! br>As a result, not only could I not fix my truck, but I also couldn't drive it until a suitable replacement could be found.
Excellent match c.
Delivery was two days late, but once it arrived, I took it out of the box and installed it without difficulty.
