The crossmember that supports the back end of the gas tank is replaced by the Rear Tank Support Crossmember, which is located forward of the rear axle.

Heavy-duty steel is used to construct the upgrade crossmember. To prevent rust and extend the life of the surface, it has been galvanized.

The left side inside mount plate, the right side upper shock mount, the fuel tank strap hanger bracket, and the fuel tank support mount bracket with new bolt are all pre-welded onto the cross tube.

It is simple to put together. The truck bed does not need to be removed; simply remove the fuel tank, the old shock, and the remaining crossmember. Reinstall your fuel tank and new shocks after installing the replacement cross member and welding it solid.

Note: My tank was wider because not all GMC tanks are the same. Because it's a crew cab, you might have to remove the strap mounting bracket and move it about 2 inches closer to the center of the reinforcement.

Is this going to fit a Silverado 1500 from the year 2000?

Yes, it's possible that one end will need to be trimmed in order to pass. The tank will have to be removed.

Is this compatible with a 2014 Chevrolet 1500 crew cab?

No, it is only appropriate for the year 2006.

Is this going to fit in a 1500 crew cab?

It fits perfectly, but take your time and pay attention to how the markings are oriented.

Everything appears to be in working order, except the gas tank strap bracket is welded in the wrong direction by about two inches

They used some incredible materials. The fit is also fantastic. I must say, however, that the holes cut out of the frame plates are a little sloppy (as in, too large). In addition, there is the welding. Uggg. It appears that the welding is. . . My six-year-old, on the other hand, is capable of doing better. It also came with a coat of paint: ) it was once painted in any case: It appears that someone used a grinder of some sort to remove the majority of the paint, resulting in a painted rusted oily mess. Overall, I believe it will be a good replacement and look factory with a significant amount of time and energy. I think you should get it if you have the time to clean it up.

It went well with the reinforcement

When we went to reinstall the fuel tank, we discovered that the fuel tank mounting bracket had to be moved about 2 inches closer to the center of the trk because all GMC tanks are not the same, and mine was wider because it was a crew cab, so we had to cut off the strap mounting bracket and move it over about 2 inches closer to the center of reinforcement, and then everything was perfect.

Fits perfectly Fits like the original, but you must first remove the truck's bed (there are only 8 bolts), unscrew the gas cap fill tube, unplug the tail lights, and lift the truck off the ground

This was not a problem for me because I am a certified welder, and it was the only option. I'm hoping the steel holds up, because it appears to be in good condition.

It's not a bad setup. It's definitely easier with the bed off, but it's not impossible without it. The only thing lacking is an exhaust hanger, which can easily be made. THE KICKUP FOR THE TANK THAT OTERS ARE MISSING IS IN THIS ONE.
