Questions & Answers

What can I do to fix a Chevy that leans from side to side? The driver side is lower than the passenger side. ?

The bigger the passenger, the better

What will it do to the mileage of the vehicle?

however, my truck is only getting 17 miles per gallon highway, even though it is supposed to get 19. Even if trucks were fuel efficient, they wouldn't be as durable as cars.

How long will it take for the spacers to be aligned after I install them?

It is necessary to align your vehicle.

When it says it measures 1" on the side, why does it say it measures 2" on the side? When the band picks up only one inch, does it really pick up two inches?

A lift is not equal to the thickness of the spacer. In the truck, the independent suspension is designed so that when the strut is extended by one inch, there is zero feedback. The lift should be 1/4" (for a 2" lift), 1" The standard is 5/8" (2. The 5-inch lift) or 1-inch lift After three-quarters of an inch (a lift of three inches) the strut angle becomes steeper, which allows the vehicle to experience a lift of approximately two inches. There is a lift of 5 inches and 3 inches, The full lift is the result of the four struts being extended and the change in angle. Having your truck aligned once the kit is properly installed and installed will allow you to see the lift you expect. This does not mean that your installation is complete until the truck is aligned.

That's great! It SHOULD be no problem, but the bolts need to be the right length Make sure you read the directions! My 17 Sierra Crew was fitted with this kit over the weekend
5/5

For those who complain that the bolts are too long in their reviews, let me address that concern first. The directions actually say "read them. " So did you do that? the are no problems whatsoever with the bolts, and the kit is fairly easy to assemble. The things that annoy me most are negative reviews written by people who have clearly failed to read and/or follow In terms of the installation, it was an easy job, I was able to do both sides in under an hour without the help of anyone. The people who refused to follow the directions just deserved a stern talking to from me The funniest part). The problem is that I couldn't find where it was necessary at all so I didn't bother. I just removed the two strut bolts from the lower struts, loosened the sway bar end link bolt as far as possible leaving the nut on, and then reinstalled the three upper strut nuts. We took the upper control arm ball joint nut off, tapped it on it to break it loose, and then loosened it again. A floor jack was used to hold the front suspension, and I removed the upper ball joint nut. After lowering the suspension, it was easier to separate it from the I was able to do this by "rolling" the rotor assembly to the right just enough so that the front drive shaft could be moved enough so that the bolts for the lower struts could be passed According to the instructions, I then installed the spacers and installed the nuts on the bottom and reassembled everything in reverse order as described I love how easy it is! It has raised the front height by a half inch, and I am pleased with the result. AND I have raised my factory steps so they are positioned perfectly horizontal. There are 13" between the bottom of the step and the bottom of the step in the back. This is important You will be able to see more of a difference between the front and back steps if you use more than 2" spacers without lifting the rear. This 2" kit is the one I like best, since I don't care for the look. I wish you the best of I have no complaints to make. This is a really nice.

I have not had any complaints for almost 4 months! As she had to be adjusted upper control arms, I decided to go ahead and install the item
5/5

She takes great care of herself! The difference is not that noticeable until you see a stock truck, then the difference is obvious! So I enjoyed that! It made my tires rub less, so that was definitely.

The installation is quick and easy
4/5

I think this should be a 5 star rating. Just because it is plastic, it seems a little cheesy. It could be made of aluminum for the same price. In my case I installed them in just over an hour, but I didn't follow the instructions, which I cannot recommend, but it's down to you. In the end, I just put the car on Jack stands, took off the front tires, removed the bottom bolts on each lower strut, pried down on the upper control arm, and used my adult son to put the spacers in Bolts, washers, and nuts were installed and torqued, the tires were replaced, and the machine was set down. Done and dusted! Height of my 2009 GMC Sierra 4WD has been raised by When you're finished, be sure to get a proper alignment.

I am very pleased with this I found it to be a great kit that met my needs
5/5

To fit my 33 x 12 it was 33 x 12. I've got 50x20s! The following directions need to be read carefully and followed. Some people were not getting the full 2 inch lift according to the article I read. Exactly two inches to the inch was my measurement. Rough Country provides instructions for how to correctly install this product or you can let a professional handle it for you. It is highly likely that people who take the shortcut fail to notice several important details that are needed to ensure this spacer performs as intended.

I love the fit and how easy it is to Those are the ones I bought for my 2015 GMC It took me about 45 minutes to fit the driver's side and 15 minutes to do the passenger's side
5/5

My only tools were a pry bar and two people. In all, I removed two bolts and two tires. By no means am I a mechanic, but I found this to be quite simple! You just need to take it one bolt at a time. The 2" bolt sufficed for it to The difference in tire sizes between the two sizes is obvious already, but I don't know what size tires I can run. I didn't take the best pictures!.

A hand tool is all that's needed to install the system
4/5

As advertised, this product effects height. A Z71 crew cab 2011 Silverado was equipped with this system. According to instructions, I inserted rear bolts from the bottom without causing any interference with the axle. As it turned out, I did not have to pop the lower ball joint at all during installation. After disconnecting the sway bar, there was a reasonable amount of space to fit the kit. Installation took two hours with hand tools, from jacking the truck into the air to lowering the truck down and preparing to drive. The development process will be reported if any further progress occurs, but I do not anticipate any issues unless there is a breakdown. The alignment was barely affected -- and while I will have a professional alignment soon, the problem was unmeasurable by a weekend mechanic. In general, however, the ride quality appears to have slightly improved. This is most obvious in that there is less deflection over small but abrupt bumps, which creates a more planted feel.

It has a good look and good value, but it is tricky to install
4/5

DUE TO THE CHANGE IN SUSPENSION GEOMMETRY. Adding torches to your truck is a cheap way to give it a more aggressive look. I found the installation to be more difficult than I Here are a few advantages Installation is not difficult AT ALL, as it's inexpensive, comes fast, and is quick The cons are Due to the level kit, the ride quality would definitely suffer, speed bumps and such would jar the ride. Your suspension geometry is changed. Some components in your suspension may wear out prematurely as a result of this. The bolts were reposed by that same angle on their own after installing this kit, but the suspension angles changed so that the axle would rub against the bolts when you turned at certain angles, causing a stomach curdling grinding sound In order to fix this, I ground the excess off of the bolts, which has mostly solved the issue. What would be the best course of action? As time goes on, we'll find out.
