The only issue I found was the location in which the spring isolaters go on the passenger side. There are holes marked with a D&D on the spacers. When I set both sides to P (driver and passenger), the springs did not match with each other so I set them to D. In other words, it redesigned the spring so its geometry was more like stock and gave it an identical appearance on both sides. When the install was complete, I had my truck aligned. There were no issues with the installation process. The side of my wheel that matches up perfectly with my wheel well matches up just as well as the center of the wheel. There is no problem leveling the truck on this setup. Overall, this is an excellent piece of equipment for the price. A 2016 Ram 6 truck is being used. This 7l Laramie holds 6 gallons of gas.
Following the instructions, I completed the installation. According to this kit, the springs will remain in alignment with the factory geometry, however the passenger spring appears to be very bowing. Since I do not feel comfortable leaving the kit in this condition, I will be removing it. Nonetheless, the isolator was tested in multiple positions to see if perhaps the instructions were incorrect, but no difference was noticed. Though it is nicely fabricated, the kit is not a bargain. It's not clear if these newer trucks were designed to use the spacer kit, so I'll need to replace the.
The Ram 2500 Cummins 4x4 ileveled has been upgraded with new struts. The 35x12 was able to fit. The following table shows 5R22 with the following values A minor trimming was done to 18 offset.
In retrospect I should have listened to my friends when they told me to purchase the Carli kit instead. It looks as if these spacers and parts are well made and will last for a long time. However, you have to drill a hole, a small one, in your OEM upper As well as having to drill the upper spring seat, the spacer sits loose around the OEM base of the spring seat. You will need to guess where to drill, since there is no template nor indicator as to where you need A bit more time could have been spent on research and development I made a spacer that slid over the base flush. Due to the far out drilling on the passenger side, the spacer did not sit properly over the upper OEM seat. In order to allow the spacer to slide into place, I had to drill a larger hole. In other words, yes it leveled my truck, yes my truck looks good now, and yes, I would purchase this item No, simply put.
I got my kit this morning and started at 1205 After installing my kit, I adjusted my camber, drag link and headlights, took it for a test ride, then came back and hooked up the v plow. I lowered the v plow in the parking lot and adjusted its height so it was level. The drinking has been set up on the The tools are a 3 ton floor jack, a 6 ton stand with plates, hand tools, and a 1/2" cordless impact driver from Dewalt.
This quality leveling kit will last for a long time. With a four post lift, I installed it in about an hour and a half. I am happy I followed the directions, and I am 500 miles the better for it.
I have a RAM 2500 Laramie with six speed transmission. The box is in the fourth position. It would have been ideal if the geometry had been the same, but I'm not sure it would have worked. The installation is pretty straightforward, but drilling it was a bit difficult (the metal on the driver side is pretty thick and there's a wiring loom in the way which you need to be careful not to damage). Getting the spring back on the driver side was difficult (getting the axle to drop enough was difficult.
Took about two hours. It took me five hours in.
