In the end, I think it comes to 2. I used the same lift in my 2010 Sierra. The thing is, I thought the same thing after I installed it at first but it turns out to be the perfect size
My installation has been 3 years old and I have not had a single problem
There is no difference in the top of the strut
There's no doubt that upper struts are involved. Under strut spacers, like yours, will become weak over a period of time as the weight of your truck sits, the weight of your truck drives and your truck hits bumps etc.

In Part 2, we discuss I got exactly two inches of clearance out of my 2018 Silverado 1500 LT with the 5" kit. It has a lift of 5". There was a measurement of 3" and a flat measurement of 2". After driving it once, you could estimate its value at $5,000. It is a fairly simple installation, but you should be aware of the lower strut mount when reinstalling it. In terms of ride handling, there has been no change. A 1/2" gap filled the gap between upper control arm and rubber stop, which was about one inch wide. About 20 degrees of ball joint angle was changed in the upper joint. When I bought mine, it was plain black - A logo has not been created. As a result, the studs in your kit are not long enough to extend beyond the top of the upper strut tower nuts, so factory wire harnesses will no longer slide over them. It was necessary to zip tie them to secure them somewhere else.
It has been about 7 or 8 months since these were installed on the truck. After all was said and done, I even took the truck in for an alignment. What a difference it makes to have it level. Only thing I disagree with is the fact that now every time I turn I hear a clunk, and I am progressively hearing more of it. It is nearly as if a clicking sound is audible when I turn now. My truck only has 24000 miles on it, so it gives me the creeps.
This is the Motofab 2 that I got. For my 2011 Chevy Silverado, I got a 5" lift. I received the package within three days of ordering. Although there were a few typos and some difficulty during installation, the instructions were decent (with the exception of one typo). Here are the steps I used to install this video In order to accomplish this unlike the video, you have to bolt up the bottom of the strut to the lower control arm first, then push the strut into the strut bucket and get the strut studs through (you have to place some force on them). There is a note in the instructions explaining this. My strut studs did not stick out past the surface of the leveling kit, so I did not have to grind them down. It's my first time dealing with the front end of a Silverado, and I am only moderately mechanically inclined. On the first side it took me an hour to go at a slow pace, and on the other side it took me I've got a tip for you You might find that the rod spins when you are putting the ball joint back together with your ratchet or wrench. As I ratcheted the bolt onto the rod, the rod started spinning, and I then hooked a pair of vice grips to the bottom of the rod, where there is no threading, and tightened everything the rest of the way with a wrench. I am very pleased with my purchase because it leveled my truck perfectly. The front and rear wheel wells of the car are the exact same height from the ground. The distance between the front and rear wheel wells is exactly the same.
Raise the front end of my truck exactly by two inches. A 5in square. The front of my truck was lifted 3/4in more than the rear, and I knew that going in based on my stock height measurements, so I installed a 1in taller block in the rear as well to have the truck just that little bit bigger and more level. Even though they are very simple to install, I would really like to see longer bolts supplied with them so the factory wiring harnesses could be clipped back on once the spacers are Also, this will make your ride worse because your upper control arm will hit the droop stop more easily, so I installed new upper control arms that have more clearance of the droop stop as well as correct the upper ball joint angle to make it easier to turn and more durable. The ride now rides exactly like a factory model after the installation of aftermarket control arms. It is easy to install and no special tools are required.
It is a solid design and as easy to install as removing the It occurs to me that I will A slight rake back in the stance can be accomplished with 75" tall tires in the rear. In Part 2, we discuss Putting a 5 inch lift in the front of my Tahoe leveled it perfectly, but it has caused a slight California lean (rear sag) when accelerating hard and when the cargo area is laden. Nonetheless, I gave it 5 stars because my measuring led me to order 2 out of 3. My mistake was a 5" rather than a 2", so neither the product nor the company was responsible for it. Once it was installed I was able to fit Pro Comp A/t tire 315/65r17 or 33 inch by 12 inch tires. There will only be a slight trimming of the front portion of the fender well plastic with 5x17 wheels. Here are two pictures of the Tahoe after being transformed by the MotoFab 2 the first with stock height tires and the second after the MotoFab. Using the same tires as before, a 5" was installed. In the last two pictures, you can see the two of them together. Tires with a new 33" size on the front and 5" at the back.
According to the description, this kit delivered exactly what it promised. Because my truck has 4WD, my mechanic said it took each side around two hours to install them, but other than that, everything went well, and I couldn't be happier with it. The kit makes the truck look like a real truck, and I couldn't be more pleased. On the truck, I left the stock 22" wheels in place, but added 33" Toyo M/Ts. I've received a lot of compliments on it so far.
It can be challenging to get the bolts into the bottom of the struts. The truck took on a brand new attitude. In addition to the rake on these Chevy Silverados, the tires are too small for me. Here are some pictures of what I posted before and after. The project was finished off by adding some 275/70/18 cooper atp all terrain tires and aligning them. I am very pleased with how it turned out!.
