Questions & Answers

Is this for both removing and securing the wheel? I had to go to the dealer to get my 11 GT3 wheel off. ?

No, this isn't the method for removing the wheel. It's only used to keep the wheel in place when reinstalling it. It ensures that the centerlock pin is flush with the rest of the lock. You can see how it works by watching videos on YouTube.

Is it necessary to have this in order to properly remove and replace the steering wheel? I mean. Why isn't the car equipped with one if it's necessary?

Make certain that the lock inside the center lock returns to its locked position. You don't have to use the tool to accomplish this, but it does make things much easier. A torque wrench capable of providing 440 lb-ft of torque is also missing from the car. ft of torque is required to install the center lock, so there is no cost associated with this.

Is this a good substitute for the delrin centerlock alignment tool, which is quite expensive? $350 is a ridiculous amount of money - Regardless of whether or not I have pccbs. ?

After you re-install your centerlocking mechanism, use this tool to make sure it's in the right place. Your wheels should be installed and torqued. It does nothing to protect the rotors when getting the wheel on and off the car.

I can't believe how hard I fought and how concerned I was about
5/5

I can't believe how hard I fought and how concerned I was that my Porsche 911 Turbo S's center locks were not fully engaged. I tried a few ideas I found online, but they didn't work. The center locking pin sprung out flush after about 10 seconds with this tool. It's a tad overpriced because it's a three-course meal. However, the fact that it is D printed rather than metal does not detract from the fact that it does the job and alleviates a great deal of stress.

Not capable of performing the task at hand
3/5

I purchased the tool a few months ago in anticipation of switching to winter tires. When the time came to use it, however, I discovered that the tool's working end was inadequate for the job. I had no choice but to use the Porsche-supplied tool, which did the job admirably. It is not compatible with the Porsche 911/991. 1/As advertised, the Turbo S. I'm hoping to work out a solution with the seller or the manufacturer.

What it says on the tin is exactly what it does
5/5

What it says on the tin is exactly what it does. When reinstalling wheels, this tool is ideal for popping out the center wheel locks.
