Installed new KYB shocks in September 2018 to replace blown ones with KYB 364021 in front and KYB KG4539 in rear. It passes the simple bounce test in all four corners and the road feel is essentially the same as when I installed it (with over 10,000 miles on it). In the other review it is stated to change the ride hide, this is just inaccurate misinformation, shocks do not affect ride height since they don't have any structural effects. You can see the case for yourself by taking a shock and seeing how much force it can support. It's likely that the reviewer saw his springs not being fully settled after he pulled and replaced them in the car because of their deteriorated condition.

On the 325i Convertible models with 51mm, there is some confusion about fitment

This strut seems to be in a lot of confusion about whether it will work on my 1991 The gland nut they sent seemed to be a 44mm size, but my tube size is 51mm. The employees did attempt to help in 5 mm. The only way I can be sure is to take the car apart and check it out. As you can see, I believe that's a poor choice, so I returned the accessories. They did try to work it out with me at KYB, and it was a great insert for the car at a fair price.
