The rear upper shock mount bracket is compatible with 1999-2006 GMC Sierra chevy Silverado 1500 2500 trucks.

Replace the worn bracket with the new one to prevent shock from disconnecting from vehicle. This restores vehicle drivability, an essential ingredient to maintaining safety while driving.

The steel upper shock mount on the rear is heavy duty. Surface coated with galvanized steel. Durable and resistant to rust.

It can easily be bent in a vice or on a shop bench at the perforation lines after it has been received in a flat state. The rear crossmember is directly welded to the rear member (ASINB07LF5PG8X).

An rotted out cross member on my father in laws 2009 1/2 ton GMC Sierra was replaced by me. It is not yet possible to buy rust repair parts for these trucks. First, I fabricated a new cross member using a 3 inch piece of heavy walled steel pipe. I installed this shock mounting bracket on this piece of pipe, and it has been right around a month now, and it is still holding up fantastically. At first, I wasn't sure if it would be good but it really is.

As you can see, the picture shows a piece of steel that appears to be fully formed and ready to be welded in, however it is actually just stamped metal without any preparation done before welding.

A 2002 Silverado was in need of replacement shock brackets that had rotted out, and I found this item to be perfect. We simply ground and welded it together, and it was done. As soon as I was done, I sprayed it black.

A modification to the mount was necessary to fit the contour of the cross member where the mount fits against it. The mount had to be reshaped somewhat to fit the original contour.
