Spend a little more money and get something that will last. If you don't know how to install something like this, you should hire someone to do it for you. Anything is possible with a husband. The product, in my opinion, is poorly constructed, and there are far too many issues to deal with; I've grown tired of it. It stopped working after months of installation, so no, I don't recommend or like this product. br>Spend more money and get a good brand with good reviews. I can't say that I like the product because it has too many flaws.

It recorded everything that happened before and after, but it didn't record anything that happened in the middle.

br>At first, I was blown away. It was easy to get everything set up. It appeared to be fairly good at detecting the lanes. On light-colored pavement, it appears to be having some trouble with faded stripes. The forward collision warning, as well as the lane departure warning, appear to be effective. In terms of the device itself, it appears to be in excellent working order. It was put to the test both during the day and at night. br>However, this is the first device of its kind that I've purchased, so I can't really compare it to anything else. I'm not sure how well other devices work in comparison to this one, but it met/exceeded my expectations. br>Now it's time to talk about the drawbacks. I took out the SD card and inserted it into my computer after my initial test run. My anti-virus software sends me a warning right away. After getting past that, and making sure there were no other viruses on the SD card or my computer, I launched the program (located on the SD card) to view the recordings. Three separate files are created by the camera, one for video, one for sound, and one for GPS data. All of this data is "combined" and played back for you by the program included on the SD card. Despite the fact that I was able to play the MP4 and WAV files it recorded individually (using Windows Media Player), the software included on the SD card did not. If the software could not playback the video, the documentation provided a link to download a CODEC, which I followed. The CODEC came with a browser hijacker, which was a pleasant surprise. The software side of things irritates me a lot. It was done on the cheap. Oh, and the program is supposed to use Google Maps to show where the recording is being made, but it doesn't - It simply displays a Google error message stating that it is not properly implemented. I'm only giving it two stars because I'm very happy with the device. I would easily give this 4 or 5 stars if the software end was better done. My recommendation (and what I intend to do next time) is to spend a little more and get something different. any other thing.

This is a truly remarkable device. If you set it to 1, forward collision warning works well. 10mph with a 5-second warning. When the road is well-striped, lane departure warning works well. Has issues with road stripes that have faded or are missing. You'll need to connect the turn signal wires so that it doesn't go out when you change lanes. The instant video/audio recording feature works well, and the Blackbox function is a useful feature in the event of an accident. When your car is parked, it also records using motion detection. One of these ought to be in every car.

It stopped working after about eight months, as others have said. It was actually "working," but it began making strange noises that could only be stopped by unplugging it. Despite being wired into the car's turn signal wires, its lane departure warnings were sporadic at best. Collision warnings were more dependable, but they were still too inaccurate to trust. Only an RCA cable is included with the installation instructions, which call for a monitor in the car. Who has an RCA port on their car or portable video system? You can actually achieve this by recording and then reviewing videos. The self- It worked out perfectly. Also a miss affair. A year ago, they were selling for around $80. I returned mine three months ago for a refund, but it has yet to be processed. This is something you should stay away from like the plague. br>br>If you truly desire such a system, be prepared to spend a significant amount of money on it. The Mobileye 5 is a device that allows you to communicate with other people Series systems are complex and effective, but they are also expensive to install. The use of a gps device to measure vehicle speed, as these low-cost units do, is far too inaccurate. DON'T BUY A MOBILEYE C2- It uses a connection to the vehicle data bus to get accurate speed information and to know if you're coasting, applying the brakes, and so on. 270 because it will break and Mobileye will be unable to assist you.

Drive Alert is simple to install if you have a basic understanding of your vehicle's wiring. When someone in front of you slows down, it detects this by making a chirping sound, which could lead to a collision. It will also sound an alarm if you stray from your lane. It is less effective when it is raining or when there are no street lights at night. It will work as long as there are street lights. I wish the sensitivity adjustment instructions were more detailed. You can take out the SD card and use your computer to watch the videos of your driving. This product was purchased for my car as a safety device for my 16-year-old daughter who is learning to drive, and it serves its purpose well. The lines must be painted clearly for the lane departure to work. Because it's a visual system, non-painted line dividers will be missed. This is excellent for highway driving, but it also works well in the suburbs and city. It does exactly what it says on the tin. It comes highly recommended. Update. br>br> After 8 months of use, the system began to make strange noises. To restart it, I had to unplug and reconnect it. Because of its unreliability, it was eventually removed. It doesn't seem to be a big fan of the heat. It appears to be a problem with consistency and quality. It worked fine while it was in use, but its quality and dependability were dubious. I swapped it out for a dash cam that can withstand the Texas heat.
