I used the exact same suspension on my 2006 Yamaha 50hp Outboard

It was a direct fit. I can't say how long it will last, but it was a perfect match. I had to remove two parts in order to replace this motor with this one. The original motor had a housing and an adaptor. This motor replaced both, and I had to remove two parts. I was able to connect it right away and it worked right away. It will be interesting to see how well it holds up. This is a lot cheaper than replacing the yamaha engine.
