As far as I know, it's not going to fit my 73 Toyota Corolla. The only way to be sure is to remove the original. From Toyota, this part has a fitment range of 1974 through 1982 Corona models. Please accept my apologies for not being able to assist much further.
That would be a good idea. I was able to replace it fairly easily.

Several years ago, the horn on my 1986 Toyota truck/motorhome stopped working. In order to make my steering wheel more stable, I added a shim behind the plate. During the first couple of years, it worked. This replacement part was found sometime later. Click the photo for a closer look at it. A hole is present at the end of the pin. There is no doubt that it is an indicator of wear. pin is no longer supported by the hole, it is time to replace it. I cannot say enough good things about this part. As with motor brushes, this product is clearly intended to wear out over time. After removing the combination switch, it took less than five minutes to remove the vent. As luck would have it, I was removing the switch for a different purpose this time. I lubricated the plate with electrical grease after the new contact began to wear and cause copper dust to form. I don't want to see any more copper dust!.
I was able to put it in my 1985 Toyota pickup with no problems. The health of your Toyota horn depends on this. Your horn might not work unless you rotate the steering wheel to a certain position. If this is the case, you need this. Just a side note, when the C- is not pressed You have to be very careful when removing an old pin clip. If you need to get through this, a very fine needle-nose pliers is all you need.
This is a genuine Toyota part. I was able to accomplish my goal.
I put it on a 1984 Toyota van and it fits just right. In order to correct a pin that is out of contact, the length must be the right one.
I received the Toyota horn contact plate with no issues and the part fits exactly as specified.
No, this is not a contact plate, but a contact pin.
