It was brand new when I purchased it. Innovation is one of the better players in the performance space. True to my expectations, I was A very erratic signal and very inaccurate. The unit has been calibrated several times, but continues to freeze and become In this case, it would freeze and stop working, then go to 22 AFR and get stuck, and The only way I could get a decent tune for my motorcycle was to tune it myself. To accomplish this, I had to borrow a friend's wide band unit. Those with some luck say they have no trouble with the sensor, but others say it is a problem.
The replacement sensor I added cost me $40 and it also burns up. The customer support on Innovative's gauges is weak. The next time I buy one, they'll be unable to fix it. Software updates are all they tell you to do. Rather than the AEM gauge, I recommend getting the EM. Although it is a bit more involved to install than the 16-bit sensor, at least it won't fail or wear out.
Although I purchased the sensor and received it quickly, it only comes with a 3 foot sensor cable, which does not allow I to mount it on an A pillar. You should not buy this unless you intend to mount your gauge adjacent to.
