The electric fan I was using was made with this. The battery end was connected to the power for the fan, and the fusible link end was connected to the battery. It may not be a good idea for your starter power cable to include this.

From the starter fuse, this is the perfect inline fuse for my 1979 Camaro. I was able to start up right away and 3 months later, I haven't had any problems.
