Since it is only DC voltage, you will only need two conductor cable, which you can find in Home Depot. The heavier the gauge, the better your chances are, since a heavier gauge wire will not drop as much voltage. There is a foot-long version available for purchase. Make sure the voltage at the end of the wire is correct by trying it out.
There is no reason why it shouldn't be located so it has some air space and isn't right next to the exhaust. I have one on my firewall in my 56 and it has played just fine. With a 24 or 12 volt system, this cord is rated at 40 amps. The studs are rated at 32 volts at 30 amps, so you will not have any problem using it.

This item stands out for being as advertised and at a reasonable price. For my DIY van conversion, which was designed to be a simple, cost-effective fix on a used cargo van, I purchased this kit. We have some news to share! A build with this type of electrical system does not portray a frugal image. Make sure to plot the cost of each of these components carefully when planning. Unless you do this, your budget will go bust!.
It is a very nice fuse panel and helps a great deal with organizing my boat's central wiring. According to the yellow connectors included only heavy gauge wire can be used with this. It appears this is made for heavy amperage. Due to the fact that I am mounting lighter amperage instruments as well, I bought blue connectors for some of the connections. It is also important to note the higher amp capabilities of the panel that all fuses are in the 15 to 30 amp range. In order to meet my needs, I picked up a couple of 5 and 10 amp fuses. All the parts you need to install the panel are included with the panel, including connectors, fuses, screws, etc. Nice kit and panel that seems to be of high quality. It has worked out well for me.
I am impressed with the quality of this unit. The top and bottom terminals of my AC TO DC CONVERTER are attached to the top and bottom terminals with the included lugs, which accept wires up to 12 gauge. If you need 12 fused outputs, the unit has I discovered that I needed to solder the lugs once I crimped them on. With a 1x2 inch piece of wood and a 100 watt soldering iron, I completed the project. To apply the solder, wipe a damp sponge on the iron tip and press down on the lugs, on top of the wood. As it flows into the lug, it will be very nice. Removing the iron is the first step.
The product seems to be quite sturdy after it is installed. I was able to tidy up a lot of wires on my boat with this. All the cables and grounding wires need to be attached were included. The product is great.
I tested this unit and it works as described. things that must be changed the main power lug must be made larger when running 2 or 4 gauge wire to the baby lug so it is a lot more difficult and the lug may break. 2 the mounting screws are difficult and require a lot more effort than they should.
Fuse block for spare electrical equipment is a perfect little item. There were a couple of things I wanted covered on the output side. I never have a problem with that, but now I can dump six wills at once. The rest of the room is free.
My shopping around led me to this product because it was the best combination of features for the best price. I am impressed with the quality once I received it. Comes with a crimp on connector as well as fuses!.
