In the end, I used an adhesive strip rather than Velcro. Worked like a charm.
Unfortunately, we had the instructions but could not read them because of their small type. The time was reset by pushing buttons until the time was set correctly. I believe the top button is the set button, if that helps.
As soon as you press the top button, it starts to blink and the bottom button changes the number. You can choose the next number by pressing the top again. You can change it again by clicking the bottom button. It will be set as soon as you click the top button.
Honestly, I have no idea. This is not the case with mine.

As soon as I awoke in the morning, I attached it to my dash using the adhesive that came with it. I woke up on hot summer day (93°F) and by the afternoon the glue had melted into a sticky mess on the dash and the clock had fallen to In spite of this, I used it anyway and found that the time was already 7 minutes off two days later. The whole thing is a waste of time.
There was no logic in them! I am very annoyed by this! Only after playing with it for a couple of hours did I succeed in setting it up correctly the instructions were obviously written by someone who couldn't.
A shower stall is the purpose of this purchase. My timepiece was mounted accurately after it was set. There has been a loss of 10 minutes in just over 6 months. Having installed an adhesive Velcro back on it, it didn't last more than a month, so I replaced it with an adhesive Velcro pad set of my own that lasted longer. The clock is mounted in a place as to not get direct water spray, but I still get steam from the steam, so I do not fault the Velcro that was provided, however I would prefer a clock that keeps accurate time!.
I had to cancel this order with Amazon because it took FOREVER for the clock to be delivered. I purchased the exact same clock from a different supplier instead.
