It does not matter in most cases which way the filter is pointing. This unit is designed to allow the furl to enter through the plastic side of the filter and to exit through the metal side of the filter. * Thank you
It will fit just fine. There is a different PN in the manual for the oil filter, but the PN in the kit supersedes the one in the manual. A new description will be added to reflect this change.

A new oil filter was required because the original was too small. I really did not expect it to be this big. I found it to be the same length. There was barely enough room for the gasket, but it worked there were It was impossible to remove the old oil filter using the wrench that came with the order because it was too large. The next thing I noticed was that the fuel filter was much larger than the original. In order to tighten the filter, I had to squeeze the band clamp onto the filter in order to get at the screw. Additionally, the fuel filter did not display an arrow indicating the direction of flow as the original one did. The post could go on either way, but the filter doesn't seem to be the right one. Due to the fact that I needed to finish the job and get the generator running, I used it. It doesn't seem like I received the right items to run this generator.

My RV generator was tuned up with a generator tune up kit purchased online and verified to match the model number of my RV generator. It took me a while to realize the kit had the wrong fuel filter until everything else was in place. Without returning everything, I won't be able to receive a refund.
Until the filter was included in the kit, everything worked fine. The one we were given was wrong, so we had to get a different one.
It is what it said it would be.
Having to order a replacement fuel filter because the original was not the right one for HADkAK. Do not know what to do when the fuel filter is incorrect.
