It continues to be a good product so far, although the proof will be in its long-term durability. I believe that the OEM stator at 27k miles failed, so we will find out. Stator and crank angle sensor were a good fit for the 2008 650 V-Stator It is str. To access the connectors, you must remove the fairings and tank, which are tucked away in a very odd place between the air box and the frame. You will need the gasket for the generator cover, since it does not come with it. Some people claim their oil did not spill when the cover was removed, but my bike lost a pint or more when I had it on the center stand. I also added a voltage monitor.
Since it was installed in my 2011 Suzuki V-Sport, I've only used it once Since I have only had the Strom 650 for a couple of weeks, I don't have any opinions about its long-term performance The reliability of a system over time. According to our testing, the stator charges the bike properly and works smoothly. Almost nothing happened after installation. The only problem I had was a slight oil leak around the rubber grommet where the stator wires exited My leak is due to a hole in the grommet at the point where the wires pass through it. Using a little RTV gasket maker, the problem was easily fixed. In case of change in this review, I will update.
After being out of commission for a while, my Vstrom 650 is back on the road again.
The distance traveled so far is 10,000 miles.
The charging problem has been fixed. This was the perfect fit for me.
Avstromdl650 installed at 39000 miles on 2011 vehicle. A total of 14 items were produced. There is a voltage of four I have put 42000 miles on it so far, and it is working very well.
The correct alternator to replace a Vstrom 650 alternator from 2008.
