Considering the quality of the wire, it's a good choice.
As I was examining this wire in the lab, I realized that it is much thin than 18 gauge wire. It is The price you pay is what you get. You'll feel and be able to see the difference of true 18 AWG wire, but if you're not concerned about how much this wire can handle, it will still do the job. Oh yeah, and it is cheap as well.
