Have you ever had a coil fall apart and then be able to reassemble it (looking brand new) as if it were a tinker toy? Because it's not meant to be used for anything important, no high heat or special bonding is required for everything to stay in tact. These coils are about as practical as a children's puzzle game. 8yrs old. These must have come from an Asain toy manufacturer, as they are definitely not something you'd put in an engine. Thank you, Amazon, for treating a car part like a pack of toothpicks when it comes to returns. I hope that people eventually realize that it is cheaper to shop at your local auto parts store, even if the prices are higher, because otherwise, our future will be pitiful if everything goes out of business. I put these in when I didn't have to because I assumed new crankshaft position sensors would be fine, but they weren't. Fortunately, I also discovered a leaking valve cover and replaced it. After that, the car was fine. br>br>*Updatebr>It's been 13 months, and I'm still getting cylinder 3 misfire codes. For that cylinder, I ordered a Hitachi coil that is identical to the OEM coil, and as the others wear out, I'll replace them with the OEM coils, which cost $39 each. I should've kept the ones I had to replace for no apparent reason. These were only good for about 10,000 miles before they needed to be replaced.
I thought the car was officially going to be a driveway ornament. My spark plugs were replaced with these ignition coil packs, and my car now runs normally without a check engine light, hard shifting, or bogging down.
For the time being, five stars; it's still too early to judge because I've only had them installed for a few days; however, the car is running better, more smoothly, and with better performance; I'll update the review in a few months or so, once they've accumulated a few miles.
I'm sure all of these ignition coils are made in the same factory somewhere in China, so they'll last a year or two before breaking down and needing to be replaced; there is some good news. They're just $50. They're brand new, appear to be in good working order, and look exactly like the ones that come standard on all Nissans.
A P0301 cel code was displayed on my 2002 Nissan Altima, which I had owned since new and had accumulated 263k miles. Cylinder 1 is misfiring. I figured that since the plugs were new and the coil packs had never been changed, I'd swap them out and see if that helped. I thought this was it when I found a four-pack of coil packs for my car for $40. All four will be completed by me. I didn't feel the need or desire to spend any more money with 263k miles on the odometer. I got them in a few days and changed all four packs with just one wrench and about 15 minutes. Unclipped the wiring harness from each pack on top of the engine, then loosened the one hold down bolt with a wrench turn, then finger removed bolt, pulled up and off original coil pack, pushed down new, finger tightened bolt, then wrench tightened and attached wire harness. Rep three times more. Done. The car is now in excellent working order. $15 and 15 minutes for $40.
br>As it enters the spark Plug, you can feel how strong and perfect it is. br>Nice touch with the silicon glue at the end of the tip rubber part, which will help to prevent humity and oil from entering the Spark Plug. br>br>Installed and working flawlessly. br>br>Highly Recommended Product.
These coils are of good quality for the price, and they perform just as well as OE Nissan parts, which cost three to four times as much! Excellent purchase. My 2009 Nissan Altima S 2 needed coils, so I bought them. 5br>br>Value for money!! Grat Buy!.
