My recommendation is to spend a little more money and get some better coils. In the space of a year, I've had to replace two.

I put these in in March of 2018 and they worked great at first. My gas mileage had risen slightly, and the engine was performing admirably. The first one began to fail in mid-November, and as the weather turned colder, it was replaced with a new pack from a local auto store. Now it's December, and another one has started to fail, so I've had to replace it. Others refuse to fire for no apparent reason. My only assumption is that these coil packs are unable to withstand the cold. When I start my Jeep up in the cold (below 20 degrees), I get multiple misfiring cylinders. The misses disappear once the engine and coils have warmed up. I used a multimeter to measure the coils and found that when they are very cold, they are out of spec, but once warmed up, they are within spec. Spend a little more money on better coil packs.
My sister's 2008 Jeep Liberty was able to fit into it. I believe the engine is a 7L. Improved mpg as well as starting speed and smoothness. At the same time, I replaced the spark plugs, and it's been running smoothly for a few months now. We'll have to wait and see how long they last. br>br>Her jeep has about 110k miles on it. It was getting poor gas mileage, was idling a little rough, and needed to be keyed for two or three turns of the engine to start up. It started once but had a hard misfire that went away after turning it off and restarting it. I do a fair amount of mechanic work, and based on the symptoms and miles on it, I figured it was due for new coils. br>br>After replacing coils and plugs, it's getting its typical fuel economy (still not great, by the way) and is starting with only 1-liter of gas. Once the engine is keyed, turn it two times more. It sounds and feels much smoother when it starts and idles than it did previously. They were due for replacement after just over 100,000 miles and appeared to have resolved the issues. br>br>On the box, it said something to the effect of 'these are a set, do not separate. ' So I'm hoping/assuming they did some resistance testing and paired similar units together, which is a good thing. br>br>As long as they hold up, I have no complaints. I've seen cheap coils fail far sooner than they should, so I'm crossing my fingers for these. But so far, everything has gone well, and I would recommend them. If one of your coils fails, you should replace them all at once. You can keep used but still usable coils as spares, but mixing and matching coils is not recommended. However, in a pinch, it will suffice.
Excellent quality. The condition of all six ignition coils was excellent. Two packs of boot grease were included in the package. After I've driven on them for a couple of weeks, I'll update this post. br>br>Update No. 1: 26th of January, 2018- After a week of driving on them, my gas mileage has improved. Running with vigor. br>br>Update number two: 8th of May, 2018- I've had the ignition coils for a few months and have had no problems. I would highly recommend this product; I recently passed smog in order to renew my driver's license. This is an excellent item.
In the number four cylinder, there was a miss. An OBDII code reader was used to confirm it. I don't believe the plugs or coils had ever been replaced in this vehicle before, so I bought the set along with spark plugs. They weren't too difficult to remove and replace, but if you're unfamiliar with these types of coils, do a Google search and watch a Youtube video or two. The car was back on the road after the parts were replaced. Taking it to a garage would have cost me a lot of money, so I did it myself. You should be able to complete this job if you can remove a spark plug. (The truth is only known by you. ) ) It might be a good idea to remove one coil and inspect it before placing an order. As it happened to me, Amazon's part match can deliver the incorrect coil. Before placing an order, double-check that everything looks the same.
Jeep Liberty 3 is a model of Jeep that was introduced in 2005. P0306 code misfire 6 cylinder 7L 89k milesbr>br> br>br>Today, I replaced all six coil packs with this set, as well as a new set of NGK copper core spark plugs, and the Jeep is running great. The coil packs appear to be the same as those sold by the manufacturer. They're slightly (and I mean very, very slightly) different on top, but otherwise they're identical. Both on the spark plugs and in the chamber, the fit is extremely tight. If I have an issue that I discover is a problem with the packs themselves, I will update my review. br>br>Nearly four months later, and none of the coil packs are still malfunctioning.
I installed these in my parents' 2008 Jeep Liberty about a month ago, and they solved our problems for a reasonable price. I waited to write a review until I'd had a chance to see how they work for a while, and so far, so good! The Liberty's sputtering problems were solved with these, as well as new plugs. I even took a bigger chance and ordered the "used like new" version, which came at a fantastic price. There are no issues that I have.
Easy to install; simply unplug the power, remove one screw, and replace with the new part; saved a lot of money by purchasing the part and performing the labor myself (thanks to a YouTube video). I was quoted $50 per coil by a mechanic, so I'm glad I came across these.
So I went to the junkyard first to get six ignition coils to fix the P0300 misfire, but after I put them in, the misfire got worse. As a result, I made the decision to give these a shot. I installed them after receiving them, and wow, the misfire is no longer an issue, and I am overjoyed. The product was carefully packaged in bubble wrap, indicating that they are concerned about the quality of their products. I'd purchase them again if I had to.
