After trying new plugs and wires, I decided to replace the OEM coil. On the Jeep JK, I was told to stick with OEM coils, but I decided to give this one a shot. I kept the OEM one in the trunk in case something went wrong, but this coil corrected the problem and improved my Jeep's throttle response. There is a lot more power to pick up and go. I'm hoping it lasts, because I couldn't be happier right now.
It took me about 15 minutes to finish the job, with the most difficult part being labeling the wires ahead of time. lol. It's worth noting that it's a direct replacement for the Mopar coil on a 2011 JKU, and it was also a bit cheaper and more affordable in my case. So if you don't care about the Mopar thing, this product works great, and I've put over 1k miles on it with no problems. I gave it four out of five stars because it is not a Mopar product, but it is an excellent substitute! This coil is fantastic!.
Chrysler Town & Country 2005 3rd country 8L with a cylinder 3 misfire every now and then. I didn't want to invest a lot of money in such an old vehicle, so I bought it on the basis of a hunch, and I'm happy to report that it solved the problem. The only inconvenience was unbolting the power steering reservoir to move it out of the way so that the lower mounting bolt could be accessed, but it was a quick job. I'm very pleased with the product because it is reasonably priced and does the job well.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, Half the price of a local parts store, and it fit perfectly, resolving the problem completely. Despite the fact that it has been fine-tuned, My minivan, a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country 3. The 8 Touring model was making a lot of noise. (over 160,000 miles) Installing this made it feel like a brand new car. After some troubleshooting, I was able to determine that this was the only problem. Nothing was being read by the code reader to indicate the issue. There was a problem with the way it was firing. Moving the power steering fluid reservoir out of the way was the most difficult part.
This was put in two days ago and appears to be working properly. Hopefully, it will help to eliminate the "cylinder 3 misfire" that our 2008 Jeep JK experiences about once a month. My old coil, which has 149k miles on it, is most likely original.
