I was better off using the old Ford coil because this one caused a lot of random "missing" after it warmed up for a few minutes. This one will be nothing but misery if you don't move on. I'm unable to return it because I used it for far too long. We didn't realize the car was broken until it had been in the shop for a long time. If you spend a little more, you can get a genuine Ford coil.

Update: The year is 2021, and the vehicle is still running like new. br>br>I waited to write a review for this coil pack because many others had experienced early failures with it; however, it has now been installed on my F150 for eight months and is performing flawlessly. It was a very low-cost method of resolving the misfiring I was experiencing. I wasted a lot of money on plugs and wires when I should have bought this first; however, after purchasing this, I discovered that I could get the genuine Motorcraft part for about twice the price, also on Amazon. Even at twice the price, an OEM coil pack is still a good deal, and if I had seen it before ordering this, I would have gone that route.

Our 2003 Ford Windstar had no problems with it. It did exactly what we needed it to do, and it was a fraction of the cost of the same part at the auto store. Highly recommended! ON 10/02/2016, THIS WAS ADDED: On day 91, the part failed. I contacted the seller, who offered a refund if I returned the original part, which we discovered cost more to mail back than the part itself, so keep that in mind if you have a similar failure. We bought another one and decided against returning it due to the cost of doing so, but if it fails as well, we'll buy a name brand next time.

On a 2007 Ford Freestar 3, the product corrected a Cylinder 2/3 misfire. 9L. I'm hoping it lasts a long time; this design on the Freestars tends to fail before the rated lifespan of 100k miles, but as long as it lasts 50k or more, I'll be happy. We'll have to wait and see if the car makes it that far because it already has nearly 300,000 miles on it, so another 50 thousand miles is unlikely, but one can hope. So far, this has been an excellent product.

Cylinder 3 has a misfire. I looked into it. I ordered this because it appeared that the coil pack was the most likely cause. The old one had some cracks, but it was simple to replace, and the truck now runs smoothly! So far, everything has gone according to plan - It's been two months now.

I needed to get one of these for my. It really works. A year ago, I had to purchase one of these for my wife's car (same part), which cost $70 at a local auto supply store. I was taken aback when I saw the price on Amazon. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on my old Mustang from 2003. It's a great price, and it's in like-new condition.
