The engines for these vehicles are typically 6L Ford/Lincoln/Mercury V8s from a local junk yard, and once you try to remove the pins from them they are likely to crack apart due to prolonged heat exposure, so low mileage vehicles make good choices. Hopefully, this review will save somebody some time and/or frustration if they choose to DIY.

For my 2005 Mazda 3, it worked like a charm

During the summer of 1962, the ignition wire cable harnesses on the spark plug boot were cracked and brittle, and could not hold the spark plug harness in place. With a thumbtack, I removed these pigtail leads from these new harnesses, then removed the existing cable with the pin attached from the existing wiring harness plug, then attached the existing plug to the new harness. The splicing did not need to be done! It is hard to find a better.

It worked great! The factory pins in the connectors would not fit the holes in the connectors, so I had to splice when I anticipated that the plastic connectors would be able to be used with the factory pins.

Wire leads are long enough that there will be some extra length. It is easy to splice them together. This gauge looks identical to the original, and you can plug it in and unplug it I would definitely recommend this.
