As a technician, I have a need to test components from far away, such as bringing the battery voltage back to the rear bumper of a vehicle to test the back camera or to test other components from a long distance

These leads are a must-have. As hard as I tried to keep the long messy wires from tangling, I would get them tangled again and again, no matter how many alligator clips I attached to them. This 30 foot test lead works great, then winds up neatly to get put back in the toolbox when not in use. It's been a long time since I bought these.

A test lead can be used for conducting testing and as a temporary jumper for temporary needs. It comes in handy when you want to ground on the negative battery terminal using the 30ft length. As well as areas that are difficult to check while the machine is running, like an oddly positioned alternator or starter, I can also reach out and test them remotely. I've seen other connectors that open a lot wider, but this one doesn't seem to do that, but you can always connect it to a larger gator clip instead. If anyone is interested in using a multimeter, this is the product they should buy.
