This is the bolt I bought to go with my oil pan drain. Besides the transmission drain bolt on my 2005 Nissan 350Z, I've used it also for my fender nut. There is no leak potential with this machine and the price is terrific. Also using a new crusher every time ensures piece of mind.

Considering the price, it doesn't make sense to repurpose them at this time. At each oil change, you can replace the drain plug with a new one and you won't have any worries about oil leaking.
