A hand drill was used to drill out the studs to disconnect the catalytic converter and mid pipe exhaust, then an angle grinder and cutting disc were used to disconnect the converter and mid pipe exhaust. As a result of the exhaust leak, I replaced the catalytic converter. On the outer border of the inner ring, I applied this Walker gasket as well as Permatex Copper RTV about a week after the gasket was applied. Despite 2 days after the exhaust leak was first reported, no return of it has been seen. The image displays an There are instead 25mm pitch) bolts used in place of the OEM studs. It was the right part, but was damaged during shipping. Walker makes good quantity parts so you might want to take a little more care in shipping. I coated both sides with red RTV gasket maker and it worked just fine.
I was very pleased with the quality of this gasket. This product is far superior to the gasket I bought off eBay, which had a different manufacturer and the gasket itself was a piece of trash. Since the price is only a few dollars, it doesn't make sense not to purchase.
This was used to create a 'shim' between the catalytic converter and the B-type converter I installed the flange kit because it is a perfect fit and will prevent (or at least defer) the rust-fusing of the pipe flanges as.
The alignment was perfect. I received a proper seal and it went on quite smoothly. It was also a perfect fit when I ordered the other walker gasket as part of a catalytic converter replacement.
