It is incorrect for you to answer that question as of 2/1/2019. It has been reported by several customers that this gasket IS different on the two sides. I have ordered two, and they are both different. In one side, a silver and metal sphere is visible, while in the other, some kind of black composite is visible. Still, we are left with a question Do they need to be installed in one direction or the other? Can you please tell me which side of the muffler or pipe the metal side goes facing when installed between them?

This will fix P0420 if you change the exhaust gasket! In my 2002 Lexus LS430, I installed new P0420 exhaust gaskets on both sides of the catalytic converter and rear exhaust

Most descriptions are lacking, but the Walker website shows that this is the correct gasket for that model. A two-liter exhaust manifold was connected to an exhaust pipe. The gasket fit perfectly and the car ran.

A pair of gaskets was ordered. There were two sets of bags containing the same part number, but each had a different gasket style. As you could see in the picture, it was The first was a crushable metal gasket, and the other was just metal on the inside. Hmmm.

On a Tacoma 2001 3 Walker 53398 won't fit

The Walker 53398 Intermediate Exhaust Pipe does not have groves that can cause a gap, so this will not fit. Therefore, my question is whether the Walker 53398 Intermediate Exhaust Pipe has ever had a gap in the past since the pipe I replaced on the Tacoma 2001 had one.
