Questions & Answers
You can usually find the ID of a down pipe by searching for it on your car. The gasket you have chosen should be the right one for your car when you started.
I am not sure how many inches are in it. The inside diameter of the gasket is only marginally bigger than the gasket that came with the vehicle. In my 2003 VW Jetta 2, it worked perfectly as a replacement for the exhaust gasket between the exhaust manifold and downpipe with catalytic converter.

It fits perfectly and works perfectly for a 2003 Volkswagen This is a replacement for a 0 converter. To hold it to the downhill manifold, it would be nice for it to have prongs to grip on to the manifold studs. Installation would be made easier with this feature. It is possible to find this on some gaskets. Due to its different shape, I was not able to price it against the OE multilayer steel style gasket. It is made of the same material as exhaust gaskets, which is graphite impregnated. It is an expensive product, even at Amazon prices, and I was not totally satisfied with it.
Between the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter is an aftermarket catalytic converter!.
Getting the catalytic converter replaced was the final step. There was a 150$ price difference between this part and the one I bought at my local parts store. That was too good to pass You know what I'm going to say? It's no longer necessary to worry about emissions!.
The replacement part should be of good quality.
The cheaper off-brand products are much less durable and thicker. The seal is perfect and no leaks have been detected!.
It was excellent.
The connector fit exactly as I needed it between the exhaust manifold and the downpipe of a 2004 VW Jetta with the larger turbo. The engine has a 0L displacement and a 5 speed manual transmission.
