Can you tell me how thick the product is?

Your money will not be wasted. The RTV had to be applied to my truck because of the leak. The thickest part of the disc is about 1/16" or 1/8". If you buy your own gasket, that may be better than buying a gasket. If you're going to use RTV, use high temperature I wish you the best of luck,

No matter what I do I will never recommend this Bosal Gasket on my 1999 Chevy Silverado because it leaks exhaust

It was shipped in a thin envelope, so it is bent, and the hole in the middle is not perfectly straight. Thus, I had to flatten the exhaust pipe to install it and now it leaks exhaust. This is a waste of money and I will either have to make my own gasket or buy one from a *** I would not recommend this Bosal Gasket to you. It's a pity I have to write this,.
