Because Honda does not sell the part separately, I decided to purchase it. The oil leak from the v-drive stopped as soon as I put it in. The alternator is connected to the tec solenoid. I had a check engine light and a rough idle after 20 miles of driving. VTC system pause bank 2 was the cause of the check engine light. The oil pressure switch had to be replaced. After a few miles, the code reappeared. Finally, I went to Honda and purchased a while v- I bought a tec solenoid and put it in. And it's been about 500 miles since I've had the issue. This product is not one that I would recommend.
With the new gaskets, there have been no leaks for several days, and I may be able to provide a long-term solution. update on the term br>br>This is the second time I've purchased a set of gaskets - The first, which came from a different vendor, did not completely stop the leak. Apply a small amount of engine oil to the gaskets before replacing them, but don't overdo it. Bolts should be torqued - For the two shorter bolts, only 106 inch pound (NOT ft lb) is required, and 110 for the longer bolt. NO anti- Take advantage of the situation! Best of luck!.
The dealer wants you to spend more than $200 on the valve as a whole. This is an excellent product.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$ It's as if it were made for you. If your alternator fails, it's more than likely that the VTeck, which sits directly on top of it, is leaking oil. To fix a leak, simply replace the gasket. You will burn your new alternator if you do not follow these instructions.
So far, there have been no leaks for a few hundred miles. Fit a 2010 Odyssey J35A7 perfectly; there was a small amount of excess material on the gasket, but it conformed easily once sandwiched.
This worked for me in my 2009 Odyssey to stop the leak! So far, everything has gone well! Because Honda only sells the complete assembly, I was able to save money.
