It was recommended by our Honda service department, so we ordered it for our 2008 Honda. I'm not sure if it'll work with a 2014 model. Sorry.
That's correct. It was a good fit for my 2009 Honda Accord EXL V6. This is an excellent product.
It doesn't have a tight fit. I bought a bunch of them and they all leaked or kept leaking. When I purchased OEM, the problem was immediately resolved. The OEM seal isn't available for purchase separately. It was a tight fit with the OEM seal. You'll need to spend around $300 on the whole solenoid. I also tried using an aftermarket solenoid, but it didn't work. The solenoid would not turn on.

I took a chance on this gasket to fix the VTEC problem, and it's still leak-free (knock on wood) and going strong after a month or so and thousands of miles! To ensure a good seal, careful prep of the VTEC mating surfaces is required, as well as liberal application of HondaBond or Permatex Ultra Grey.
It's exactly what I needed for my 2011 Honda Pilot, and it's an OEM part at a great price. Make sure you torch the three valve bolts to 104inch bls after you replace them. I didn't, and it resulted in complete chaos, as well as an engine check light (p3497 and multiple misfires) and a sluggish idle. I hope this information is useful.
I've gotten rid of the code. Bolts were torqued according to the manufacturer's specifications. This method is ineffective. The warning light on the dashboard will remain on. VTEC isn't going to work right. Ishino Stone can be found on the internet. Japanese-made OEM gasket. It's a little more expensive, but it DOES WORK! Even if bolts aren't torqued to perfection. (Ishino Stone gaskets are much more expensive, but they are less expensive than purchasing the entire spool valve for the gasket. ) ) There will be no more oil leaks that will necessitate an expensive alternator replacement. the best of all The Check Engine Light is no longer illuminated.
This is what I put on my 2008 Honda Odyssey. The solenoid gasket for the V Tech was replaced. It has been reported that they leak onto the alternator.
0L engine was a perfect fit. Honda factory parts for the 5L (J35A7) engine, which fit and function exactly like the originals. Because both the front and back cylinder heads have a VTEC solenoid, you'll need two sets of gaskets. The Honda dealer assured me that the entire spool valve assemblies must be replaced at a cost of $250 each. They were mistaken, as it turned out.
It will work, but make sure you use the proper torque or you will have to replace the housing, which will cost you $90 and take about an hour of labor.
It's just a gasket, and it does the job perfectly.
My items were simply wrapped in black plastic when I received them. (This is not an original Honda part. ) Gaskets were installed, and they fit perfectly and have so far held up. They've been on the road for two days now.
