It's identical to the one in my Suburban. There are no special countersunk screws needed for the 3L just take off the old camshaft retainer plate and use the screws which came with it. There is no way to replace the red gasket on the plate, so you'll have to buy a new one. I purchased this plate since I didn't want to take a chance on low oil pressure as a result of oil leaking out from this plate. Within the red gasket area of this plate, you will find oil galleys with lifters connected to them. Taking off the factory plate from my suburban, I discovered that it was totally flat. During the manufacturing of this new plate, the red gasket protruded a bit to seal the two lifter oil galleys that come together at this point. Thus far, everything seems to be going well. The issue is not a concern.
The color is black, the same as when it left the LS1 seals are just right for the vehicle. There is a lot of strength in the plate. The screws do not come with it, but you can reuse yours if you have them. I tightened mine to 18 ft A countersunk hole is not a countersunk hole This is the perfect LS for Generation III. I like this plate a lot.

In addition to sealing the oil galleries, the cam retainer plate for LS engines also seals the oil galleries surrounding Therefore, if you are doing a cam swap, you will need to replace this part I like the way the part is made and how easy it is to install.
This was an easy replacement if you are in need of a new pump. It was a good value and an easy fitting right behind the cam sprocket.
Despite not having used it yet, I plan to use it later. Even so, I know it will be great if and when I get there.
Based on my experience on a LM4 5 from 2004, I used this. It is a rebuild of 3L. The value is very good, and it fits like an.
