Is it compatible with the E53 X5 from 2004?

The 039-number is not the same as the 039-number. Only the 3 can be accommodated by 5062. For the 2004 X5, a 0L M54 engine is available.

There appears to be some misunderstanding about e53. Isn't it the same vehicle (e53 is the model number, and m54 is the engine number)?

These are the same for models from 1999 to 2006 with the same engine; I installed them in a different model but with the same engine and they fit perfectly.

Is this part compatible with a 2001 330ci?

Although the gasket was most likely aftermarket, it appeared to be OEM material and fit perfectly. There were no error codes or obvious issues after the car was put back together, so it's safe to assume the gasket did its job properly.

10mm bolts at 10lbs torque should be checked and replaced if they fail after 100k miles or less.

QUALITY IS OK, THE PRICE IS RIGHT, AND EVERYTHING WORKS

THIS WAS OBVIOUSLY A UNIVERSAL KIT THAT WAS CREATED TO FIT MANY MODELS AND YEARS. THE VALUE FOR MONEY WAS SUFFICIENT. THE ORIGINAL HOSES AND CONNECTORS APPEARED TO BE A LITTLE LESS ROBUST. IN CONSTRUCTION, THE PCV/OILSEPARATOR APPEARED TO BE EQUAL TO THE ORIGINAL. EVERYTHING FIT, EVEN THOUGH A FEW OF THE HOSES DIDN'T APPEAR TO BE AT THE RIGHT ANGLE ON THE CONNECTORS, BUT WITH A LITTLE PATIENCE, IT ALL COME TOGETHER AND FUNCTIONS PROPERLY. A COUPLE OF FEET OF 1/4 INCH VACUUM HOSE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN THE KIT, BUT THAT WAS JUST A QUICK TRIP TO THE PARTS STORE. IF NO BREAK WAS TAKEN, IT WAS APPROXIMATELY A 4 TO 5 HOUR JOB. THE HOSE THAT SNAKED THROUGH THE INTAKE TO THE PVC WAS THE MOST DIFFICULT TASK. TAKE A GOOD LOOKING AT THE CONNECTION AND SEE IF YOU CAN FIND THE BEST WAY TO DO IT. WORKING IT THROUGH THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AND ATTACHING IT TO THE PVC PRIOR TO SCREWING THE PVC DOWN APPEARED TO PROVIDE A LITTLE MORE WIGGLE ROOM TO GET IT HOOKED UP. IT WILL BE EASIER THE NEXT TIME, GOOD LUCK!.
