Questions & Answers

Do you know if it will ?

There will be no problem fitting it to

Is there anyone with a cold or hot start problem after installing a flat? As soon as I get my 6 I'll be all set. Are there other users experiencing this issue? You can fire with ether, but not without?

In fact, my dad drove a 6 so I knew it was him. The truck had died and would not even try to start so we put this in it and it started

A 2003, which was manufactured in February 2003, is in my possession. Do you think that this part will ?

Ford Diesel 6 was one of the very early Diesel engines. If you have a Motorcraft CM-0, you should use it The part can only be installed on Ford 6 models. Engines with a 0L Powerstroke engine built after September 23rd, 2003

Do you know what type of valve it is?

You are correct, this is a genuine Ford / Motorcraft IPR valve

If there's any crud, it would be best to blow it out with shop air
5/5

All has worked perfectly since 3 weeks ago when it was installed. To remove the IPR valve from the HPOP cover without removing the turbo and other items, it is necessary to have the special socket. Reducing the amount of R&D time is helpful If you are replacing the IPR on the 6, you should select R. The Powerstroke 0 has been discontinued. By removing the air filter assembly, pulling the FICM module and bracket, you should be able to remove the wiring clip, slip the slotted socket over the IPR, and you should be able to remove If there is any crud back there, I would suggest blowing it out with shop air before removing it so there is no oil in the system afterwards. Insert the new one and then "snake" it Since the outer housing rotates on the IPR nut, you can position the connector in the correct orientation by back-outing the socket and gently rotating the housing until it is in the correct position on the nut. Then put everything back together and you are all set. Despite its age, the part itself appears to be working well, and the truck runs well so far. If you suspect any trouble with the 6 cylinder high pressure oil engine (no start), replacing the IPR and ICP is always the first step. The screen on the end of the IPR can be torn or damaged, allowing debris to get up into the valve seat and prevent it from fully closing, preventing your high pressure oil system from generating enough pressure to fire the injectors and stop your vehicle from starting. We hope this helps anyone having a problem with HPOP for the 6. If you need further help, please contact us.

I give it five stars
3/5

Initially, it seemed to fix the issue, but two days later, it would not start anymore. So, I took the truck in my shop and changed it with the old one. It will now start.

Even though the tool made it a lot easier, my truck running well may not have solved all my problems
4/5

The tool made it a lot easier of course, but it may not have resolved all my problems.

5/5

The process is quite straightforward with a wobbly and a few extensions, and after removing a few parts, it's just an hour job. You can watch any one of the videos on YouTube.
