This solution can be applied after mileage where you think accumulated combustion carbon has been deposited. Where carbon may have accumulated, there has been enough driving for 17k miles. There are those who disagree with this, arguing that a good gas with detergent is enough, and no additive is necessary.
If Fiat, then a 75K car would be fine, but a new engine, Mercedes, Lexus, 150K, 200K for diesel will be sufficient.
With all of it, you can treat up to 21 gallons of gas when you add it to a nearly empty gas tank.
have used it on fuel injected vehicles, but I have no reason to think that it wouldn't work on carburetor vehicles. As it is advertised, it does what it says

The Chevron diet for my car made it loose its zip-lines, so I had to discontinue using it. Slowly, it slowed down. Cleansing the injectors using this method worked for me. Despite its modest benefits, it was not very helpful. Six bottles in all. As I returned to Chevron Supreme, I began to experience a sluggishness that eventually The cleaning of the fuel system of my car has been done almost successfully using Chevron Techrolene Fuel system cleaner. Fast and fun was the definition of this vehicle, and is still the case. With a 4 cylinder, the Infiniti M45 Sport is impressive. The V8 has a capacity of 5 liters. I owned one of the funniest luxury cars I've ever.
As a result of not having a serviceable fuel filter on my truck, I purchased this. Hence, the gas tank has to be removed to be replaced. Moreover, there was a lot of carbon built up on the spark plugs and intake valves as well. For the past two months, I've been using this on every third fill up (so I've only used four bottles so far) and the carbon build up on the valves has been noticeably diminished. The fuel mileage went up by about 2mpg after I replaced the spark plugs and cleaned the intake manifold, and the throttle response went up just a little (but still noticeable). Although I have no way to check the fuel filter, I will just replace it eventually when I have time. As far as this product goes, I am satisfied, at least at this price.
Both of my vehicles use this as described, and I have no negative things to say or think about it. It is impossible for me to prove that a detergent-packed formula yields better performance or mileage. In fact, it is required in all gasoline sold in the U. S. to contain detergents. It's not my fault who uses this stuff, since I consistently get 14 MPG in my '01 V-ette The fuel economy in my 2004 Marauder 32V is 24mpg, while my 2010 Super Duty gets 32mpg. All is well with me- I am impressed by both of these numbers, and I have never noticed slow acceleration, sputtering, or sputtering.
As far as performance is concerned, I am powerless to comment. In the case of gasoline of a given Octane rating, the difference between a brand is the number (or lack) of additives to keep the fuel from coating. According to the companies that endorse "Top Tier" gasoline (yes, Google it), it contains the proper amount of additives, and it has won the endorsement of car manufacturers whose vehicles have high-performance Most engines today are high performance with EFI, direct injectors, CPUs, variable valves, etc. I usually apply Shell 10% ethanol, and fuel cleaner 2 for removing deposits from the fuel system. During the year, I took this thrice, thinking it would help combat the gumminess of Ethanol. As of March 1, Costco no longer sells a box of 6 Techron bottles, which previously contained 2 bottles each, for the same price. Boxes of 2 Techron bottles have been replaced with boxes of two.
In just three bottles of Gumout, I've noticed exceptional acceleration and improved general pick up. I have an 86' 4runner with 220,000 miles on her, but she runs great and I definitely feel that Gumout has cleaned up her fuel lines and injectors. The product is excellent, and I will continue using it until I have used all 6 bottles, then maybe a bottle or two every.
My fuel systems need to be kept clean, so I bought this. I was told it should be used on engines over 75,000 miles on the bottle when I got it. Everything I own is new, including my cars and equipment. My situation will not improve with this.
In an old car over 100K miles, which serves as my backup vehicle, I used this. This is the first time I'm using it By filling up with cheapest gasoline available at the time, we were able to use "Top Tier" gasoline for this older car. In time, I definitely feel a decrease in acceleration and an increase in hesitation. There are two- As a result of using this cleaner with the later tank, the car feels much cleaner, idling is smoother and acceleration is noticeably faster. According to the manufacturer, this product does exactly what it claims to do. When using this product, consumers reduce their costs significantly over constant use of top-tier gasoline, a requirement for older vehicles with higher mileage.
I have no idea how well the product works, but I believe it keeps my vehicles in good condition mentally.
