A mod that is almost mandatory, since the thumbs are considerably less fatigued

It's almost a necessary mod, because it's less tiring on the thumb. The 04- sized carburetor spring should be used with this spring Using a TRX 90 Lever along with an 05 TRX 450 throttle housing makes for the ultimate thumb throttle setup. The mod would have been better if I had done it.
