Questions & Answers

Is there an oil tube included with this kit?

You will get the Fox Float shock oil pillow pouch as shown in the picture with this kit. It seems like there is more than enough in the package to repair a rear shock (you may even be able to repair two with it).

What is the compatibility of this kit with the Fox dhx 5? Does the air contain zero oxygen?

This should be the case, in my opinion. DHX 3 was the only one I used. There are no differences in air cans and I assume that there are no differences in 0 cans.

What are the contents of this kit? Does it include ?

I did not receive the pillow pack with mine.

A complete package of everything you need is included with the Fox Float RP23
5/5

You'll find everything you need in one place. They should be charging a dollar for gaskets and oil, which is about what an oil change cost should be. The large oatmeal comes in three sizes large, medium, and small There should be a ring which seals the main body to the inside of the "lid", and I should have 3 each of the sizes that I need, so I would always have You can generously apply the lube to your seals, and you will still have enough left over for a second service.
My seals are the originals from 2011, and I never replaced Though they were still in good condition, they did not leak, but I decided it was time to replace them anyway since they had been around for a long time. In my opinion, FOX's recommendation that you should service the seals every eight hours is faulty. The air chamber is pressurized at least 125 PSI. There is no requirement to do this. If air under pressure of 125 PSI+ has to be kept in if it is not allowed to escape, how is dirt, mud or water going to get into the chamber to contaminate the seals? Nothing could be further from the truth. It rides on that nice smooth coating bathed in oil, has a dust wiper on the bottom to keep crud out, and has seals that will last a long time. Mine lasted for 10 years between services, with a lot of miles and hours. Over the course of the season, I ride eight hours I like the idea of taking it apart every 6 months to clean the old lube off and re-lube It needs to be lubricated. should be changed every ten years, as long as they are in good condition.

Although most of what is included worked, there was some missing information
3/5

My Fox Float RL was produced in 2004 (I think this is the bike's year) and most of the parts on this kit worked as well. There were two washers in the kit that I needed, but they weren't included. For information on which ones, please see the attached image. Perhaps this shock is so old that it is causing the problem.

A pair of shocks in perfect working order! You must service the Fox Float shock in your rear if you have not done so already
5/5

The route is not too challenging. I have done it on both Since neither had been serviced in the past, they were due for a service. The Fox Float RP23 was in one boat, and the Fox Float R was in the other. You have to remove the cranks from both bikes, so make sure you have everything ready before starting. On YouTube, you will find easy-to-follow instructions. You'll receive the seals, as well as the float fluid, in this kit.

I've never had a problem using the program
3/5

I've never had a problem using the program. You should be aware that this kit is not applicable to all types of The kit is not complete if you already have a RP2 or RP23. There is a very specific O ring missing from the machine. I was lucky enough to find it at my local LBS.

I like it
5/5

That is, if you know what you are I am extremely impressed with this kit. Everything you need to perform the air service on your float shock is included. When it comes to these services, there is a concern for the uninitiated. Despite having all the seals for every type of float shock and no indication of which ones you need, the kit contains every float shock seal there is. So, that being said, you might as well take your time. When you remove each seal, check it against the kit to make sure you have the right one and replace it with the correct Other than that, the kit is flawless and includes everything you will need to complete the task.

The procedure is easy, but in some cases does not have all the needed seals
4/5

In the days before YouTube, how did we spend our time? By following the installation instructions and watching one of the many videos, the installation process was quick and easy. I am not sure if it was Shock Specific or what, but as other reviewers noted, there was a seal on the lip of the can where it screws into the top, as well as one on the top of the shock body itself that did not have a matching replacement seal. There was some cleaning and redecorating to do Seals should be used when they have worn out. My FLOAT CTD DrCV model is a CJLX from 2014. Otherwise, make sure that you are inserting the air seal at the top in the right groove, otherwise you won't be able to get air to pressurize the tank and you It's now at 200psi after 24 hours and I'm ready to go!.

Thanks to this kit, I was able to replace my Fox shocks in no time at all
5/5

Rebuild kit that works well. I was able to overcome the problem with a basic YouTube video. It's been a few years since I had a shock, but it now works perfectly and the leak has disappeared. My shock kit did not have an O ring for sealing the cap and canister at the top where they screw together, which was the only one missing from this kit. In this case, I was able to reuse the I did not experience any issues other than that. This kit makes it easy to rebuild your own. From start to finish, it took me about 30 minutes.

I have stopped the leak on my FloatRL
4/5

Earlier this year I had to replace the leaking Fox Float RL shock on my *2003 Cannondale Jekyll 800. The kit worked after watching some YouTube videos on how to use it and the leak has been fixed. As long as you have the right tools, the procedure was not difficult. It would be best to have a pick to remove all the rings and substitute them in again. It was difficult for me to put in the white plastic rings again. There should have been some instructions with the product, or at least a link to an installation video. I would have given it five stars if there were some instructions with.
