I received the metal float in place of the plastic model. Nevertheless, I installed it and it worked.

There will be no corrosion with plastic. I was able to complete the installation in a few minutes. The other machines in my house will probably be experiencing the same issues when mine do.

I thought it was a carb float, but now I don't know what to.

In my ancient snow blower (Jacobson) it worked great with the Tecumseh carburetor.

It was delivered on time and worked perfectly. Brass was the material used for this item. Perfered material was brass in the original.

Whenever you run it, it makes a lot of noise, leaks, and vibrates like a paint shaker, and it requires some sort of maintenance about three times a year. In the past year, I have replaced a number of parts in it, thinking that their must not be anything else that fails when it comes to it, such as the float, needle, spring, etc. A summer ago, I was working on it. There were only three movements after that once to see if everything was working after replacing the parts, once when it got cold so that it would be easier to use it when it had been snowing and once simply to use it now that she had been able to clear The next time she tried to use it, it failed to start Because one of the tabs holding the float in place had broken, the float allowed the gas to drain towards She bought a snowblower last year that actually works (and won't need maintenance for more than 3 days), so I am going to replace the float and run it on gas (not premix) long enough to seize it, then toss it to the curb for recycling. If anyone takes that steaming piece of excrement home and uses it for snow removal, I would not want to see it.

I received a brass float instead of plastic as described, but it worked fine on my lawnmower. The next time, I'll just pick up the brass one and save some extra cash.
