Despite the fact that the floats were delivered in plastic bags, which could have easily been damaged during shipping, I would have given the seller a 5-star rating if they hadn't been in a plastic bag. Shipping ping balls in plastic bags is analogous to sending them by mail. It makes no sense at all! Ultimately, I rolled the dice and installed them into three carburetors regardless of their quality. The system is working excellently so far, no leaks or flooding have occurred.

This part fits as if it were originally a Mercury part.
In my 1971 Mercury 500, I had a bad fuel leak and these new floats fixed it instantly.
In order to replace the old plastic float, I purchased this one. Prior to this float, fuel was leaking from the bowl and it was sinking. I am very pleased with the fit and performance of this composite float.
The float is fine, but shipping was a little slow, and it cost more than the float itself.
We just have to deal with what we have. Sierra has a brand new float for sale. These tend to be forgotten when carbs are rebuilt, and I like that you have these on hand. I really like that this insurance is so cheap!.
