Yes, without a doubt.
As far as I am concerned they should work in the 1405 as I have them in my 1404 with no problem and the 1405 has just barely a bit more air flow volume.
It is true. A Performer series carb has the same float as a normal carb.

This kit provided a reliable replacement float. The perfect replacement for the old one. An old Carter AFB carburetor, which has many of the same components, could also be used with the kit.
Brazing of superb quality. It could easily be bent in all the required directions and it came in a good plastic bag to prevent denting during Floats other than those marked up by the manufacturer should never be purchased.
As far as floatation is concerned, they do.
A float is a floating object. They didn't work with the old ones.
The old floating object had a hole in it. Exactly what I was looking for.
I loved the fact that they included new pins and a handy gauge (paper) exactly what I was looking for.
