Backwards, that's the wrong one! My friend sent me one that is the opposite of my current one

Heat caused the choke to close more and more as it got hotter. I had to figure out that it worked backwards before I could proceed. My next step was to see if my choke linkage was hooked up incorrectly. After examining the photo, I finally make out that my cap has an arrow pointed left, but the one in the picture is pointed My spring was inserted the other way after I pulled it out. Despite the fact that the arrow is pointing in the wrong direction now, it is still broken.
