The blow- The sound will not change if the valve is turned off. This merely silences the additional noise that is piped into the cabin when you step on the gas pedal.
No, it is not going to happen. There is no sound composer for the Escape ecoboost in any year. The Escape was created with utility in mind, and the sound symposer was simply an optional feature Ford included in its hatchback and midsize sports car lineups to add more sporty engine rumble. The turbo option was chosen for the SUV because A: They have a higher economy than the previous v6 and B: Ford has put a lot of money into the ecoboost vision, and it will be the company's main powertrain in the future.

I don't have any concerns about CFMs quality because I have a couple other parts from them and have had no issues, but be aware that not everything works 100% of the I didn't know what it was and assumed it was a computer or throttle sensor issue. When I returned home, I noticed smoke and a faint odor of burning. I asked around and did some Googling and came up with a few possibilities but nothing concrete, so I decided to call a mechanic the next morning. Later that night, however, I took a closer look around the engine bay and discovered that the NPT plug in the symposer delete had vanished! br>br>Got a cheap replacement plug from the hardware store and it fixed everything. So, the lesson learned is to be aware of what a boost leak looks like (this was a BIG boost leak, too) and to check aftermarket parts for issues first. I'm not sure why the old plug went missing, but I assume it simply became loose after about a month of driving (perhaps it wasn't tightened well enough from the factory). In any case, this symposer delete has performed admirably thus far, and I have no complaints.
My son and I turned it on by turning off the sound that was piped in. We followed the instructions to the letter, and it fits and functions perfectly. If you add a blow off valve, a larger turbo, a large cold air intake, and/or exhaust mods, your experience will be greatly improved. If none of these mods are in the works, you might want to reconsider removing this. As annoying as fake sounds are, they sound cool after you remove them with these mods.
I didn't mind the sound symposer, but after swapping out the factory air filter for a green filter, I didn't want the symposer to drown out the more audible intake and turbo sounds. As a result, I made the decision to remove it from the system. This set was ideal for the job. I like that it comes with the option of adding a second vacuum source if I need it in the future. In addition, by removing all of the hardware associated with the symposer system, the engine bay appears to be much less cluttered and cleaner.
It's simple to install and of good quality. Make sure the metal plug is tight and check it after a few miles. If necessary, blue loctite would be a good option.
It's simple to set up!.
Perfect and inexpensive. I had previously purchased CFM performance's model without the vacuum line nipple and had been very pleased with it, so when I needed to use the vacuum from the symposer delete, I purchased this one. Even the most inexperienced of home mechanics can complete both tasks in under 10 minutes.
This kit was used to remove the symposer from my 2017 for focus st. It's a simple install that takes less than 20 minutes and could be completed in as little as five minutes. I can now hear the engine, instead of the garbage autotuned noise.
Installed on my 2017 Ford Focus st, it was the easiest installation I've ever done.
