Questions & Answers

When you put these dumpsters in for the catch cans, do you need to have your plastic cover running?

It is designed to fit all 2011 to present catch cans A Ford F-150 from the 2014 model year The 100 with the 3 equals 150. There is a 5 L Ecoboost V6 engine as indicated in both the Amazon description and the Mishimoto product page. Please visit www.com. These hoses are fitment molded to work with OEM-compatible devices As far as possible, the PCV lines should clear the OEM engine cover at the same places as the factory. Once the kit has been installed, the cover may still be removed or modified, but it does not have to be removed for life. Please feel free to send an email to support@mishimoto if you have any questions. You may also contact us by email at [email protected] if you would like further assistance. Thank you for the kind words, Mishimoto

Does having two oil catch cans provide an advantage over having one oil catch can?

The number doesn't matter as much as catching the blow by from both the driver and passenger side (if you have a V motor) and baffling to filter out the oil and other debris. As the factory engine cover still protects you, I choose to use two since I don't have to run hoses through the engine bay.

What will this fit on my Ford Raptor 2018?

This may be a possibility, but i would jump on Mishimoto's website first. Mounting is very straight forward and works great with fire walls. My 2013 three had perfect bends in the hose, but it's unknown if they changed anything from their 2013 model. I give you five stars for your Raptor In case of an uneven mounting, you can always return it. The hardware is really good and the design is well executed

In April of 2020, I installed this kit on my truck, it went in without a hitch
3/5

A few weeks later, I observed an oil smell inside my truck, upon investigation I found that the passenger side hoses were collapsing beneath vacuum when I drove my truck. The first time I contacted Mishimoto, they sent out new hoses, but the hoses would not fit my truck, so I contacted them again, now they sent out new hoses that would fit, however, they collapsed under vacuum just like the first set did. I am not able to get my money back from Mishimoto, because I didn't buy the kit there, I bought it on Amazon. In my opinion, Mishimoto should be given a thumbs down for not solving the problem, and when the problem couldn't be solved, they should have done the right thing and refunded If you are considering purchasing this product from Mishimoto, I do not recommend it.

Apparently the kit I received from Mishimoto was defective
3/5

Although the kit was delivered, I was not able to install it on my engine because the threaded hose adapters for the large cans were the wrong size and did not fit the large cans. After I informed the Mishimoto "customer service" department that my kit was defective, it took more than two weeks to get the correct hose adapters. If I had to do it all over again, I would not have purchased this product and I cannot in good faith recommend it.

This is a well-made product, but it seems a bit awkward to use
4/5

Currently, I own a 2011 Ford F150 Platty with Ecoboost technology. During the installation, it took about 30 minutes. I don't know how, but the driver side was without a threaded hole. It is only the location where I have a complaint. There's no denying that draining this thing is going to be a real pain in the ass. It is very difficult to unscrew these cans because of their very good seals. There is a screw hole in the bottom of the cans so I plan to get a ball valve to fit instead so the water can drain properly.

Despite being well made, the installation instructions did not come with the kit
4/5

There are no real complaints about the kit. Fittings and canisters are made out of plastic, but metal is used for the body of the container. The rubber return and flow lines are thick and seem much more durable compared to the thin and brittle plastic lines in Fords. Both the connectors and the connectors from the factory are the same. Once I had the kit installed, I got an oil change right away. It will be interesting to see what will end up in the cans after a thousand miles. Having to read the instructions in writing was a very annoying part of this $400 kit. Youtube provided me with the confidence I needed to start the For many years to come, I hope this mod will provide a reliable ecoboost F150.

The system works great! Install it in no time
5/5

Installing this product was very simple. It was easy to follow the directions, but difficult to install. The hoses can simply be connected to the firewall after the cans are installed. My turbo cooler lines were drained after 3,000 miles. I drained a pint of oil and water. This is a direct 'br>
Thou shalt not Despite the fact that one can came preassembled (top of can machine bolted to bracket), only one caution is warranted. In the other can, I thought the screws were unattached, but after opening it, I found one package of small allen head machine bolts inside. Looked around for ten minutes before finding it.

I wish you the best of It turns out there was a green connector on the hose on the passenger side of my kit
3/5

There was no locking mechanism for the connector. I installed the hose on the drivers side of the car without any problems. The Mishimoto customer service department told me the hoses would be delivered in a week. I've got the same issue. Two hoses were sent to me, and I was thankful for them. In order for it to work, I had to pull the white connector from one hose and place it into the other connector. We have found it frustrating to come up with Despite being a very well made kit, this shouldn't happen for 400 dollars.

This is an excellent product
5/5

The fit is perfect and the amount of crud it pulls out is incredible. My shock was evident after the first 100 miles, so I decided to check. In comparison, they say it takes 2 hours for installation, but it takes just 20 minutes. The catch cans will be placed in each vehicle until we are all powered by.

Catching PCVs with the catches can works well! When following the YouTube video on how to install, installation was extremely simple
5/5

It is excellent in all respects, both in quality and fit. A photo of what was dumped from the PCV (passenger side) can after about 1k miles is shown above. In theory, I should be able to time future oil changes around that amount It is about 5k miles away). My first Amazon review, thanks to the excellent customer service provided by Mishimoto, was the motivation I needed to write this. Despite my best efforts, one of the CCV hoses I received was incorrect-sized Sitting on one side of the table A quick connect fitting should have a ring in it. While trying to re-enter my password, I struggled for a half hour Place the officer at the helm Finally, we gave up trying to reach the other end of the line. sent an email to their support team about the problem, and they replied within a few days with a request for photos. There was an o-ring missing from a fitting I showed them (I had to reattach the ring all the way after it went all the way out of my finger It is seated). Their response was to send me a complete hose replacement kit (all four hoses) for free. Your customer has just become loyal to you, Mishimoto!.
