I wouldn't call it black, it would be gray as depicted in the image. The two-digit number 2. A measurement of 3 3/4" by 4" makes no sense. I thought the diameter of the duct would be 4 inches and the height 3 3/4 inches. If I had bought it from my local hardware store I would have saved myself some money.
My only wish is for dust collection and PVC piping to be about the same size. It's just about finding fittings that don't leak. The purpose of this is to connect my system to it. In order to get my collector hooked up, I had to 3d print a connector that changed from 3 inch to 4 inch. That made me wonder why this is the case? I am thankful there are those of us who can do our own parts for an industry that's been around before I was even There is much more to this rant than a review, but all of it is Fittings which work with common stock are available. This is PVC.
As of just now, I have just received mine in the mail and I can clearly see that it is black, but appears gray in the picture. There was a similar item I saw in the store, but I didn't buy it since it was Pictures that are misleading.
My setup has worked well, despite their flimsy nature and cheap make. However, they have stood up to the heat in the engine bay and have done the job.
It should be presented with actual measurements, they have it as 3 5/8 by 3 5/8, and not 3 3/4 by 4", rather than 3 3/4 by 4", which kind of messed up what I planned to do with it.
The plastic is not of the highest quality, so if you are going to trim it, I recommend a dremmel, since side cutters can crack the plastic. I was able to get what I needed out of it, and I think it was durable enough. Yes, thank you. There is definitely a uniform flat grey color to it, but you can't see all of it since there is an intake tube covering most of it.
Reviewers who claim this is not true don't make sense to me. I tried bending it in my hands, but it doesn't twist at all. The material is thick plastic and no, it is not black it is gray. What's the big deal! It can be fitted over with a 3" hose.
It fit perfectly to the 3 inch pipe. The six of them I obtained were used to create my snorkel for my 100" Jeep. As shown, they did not come in black. It was more grey for my application, but it did not matter.
