I am not sure about that, but you may want to buy the K&ampN It's time to replace
I have taken my 2014 to the GMC dealer for service, and nobody has noticed anything wrong with my truck. I'm not sure what to expect with a 2016 but my 2014 runs great, no computer/engine trouble.
It is vital to ensure the PCV hoses and fittings are not damaged or loose.

These come with my truck, a 2015 Silverado 1500 with the 5-speed manual transmission. In it are 3 pieces. In about an hour I had it installed and I was pretty proud of myself since I am not a mechanic. It was a pleasure to follow the directions.
I have noticed that my gas mileage has increased by about 1 percent since the installation Although I have gotten two miles per gallon, the throttle response and reactivity have impressed me most.
If you've been considering purchasing this, I highly recommend.
My first modification wish list item for my 2014 Silverado 5 is to install a rear camera. The third level. When I bought it, installed it, and I observed a two-percent reduction in my MPG An mpg of 3 is possible. Although I had been a little heavy on the gas to hear that awesome sound as I pulled air into the intake, I backed off for awhile and noticed no change in my driving style. When I did some research, I discovered that some people had noticed the same thing, and they attributed it to K&W's absence at the time Oil filters are used by N. Some of the oil from the filter seemed to have gotten on the MAF within the first few hundred miles, which could have resulted in the engine using more fuel to make up for the decreased airflow. Upon purchase of some MAF sensor cleaner, I cleaned the MAF and after a few more miles, I noticed an increase in fuel efficiency. Neither K&K nor their customers are to blame There is an oiled filter in this case, which is normal. You should be aware that this may happen and I recommend cleaning the MAF after driving for a while with the vehicle. My intention is to have it cleaned again soon to ensure that it is running properly and is clean. My car was also fitted with a catback exhaust soon after and I absolutely love the way the sound is. Very good. I'd recommend it to anyone.
From K&N, you get great quality products It is easy to install and highly reliable. During the installation of my Chevrolet Silverado LTZ 5, I opted for this kit. In little more than an hour, 3 liters were consumed. YouTube has a great installation video available you should definitely check out. The pros are A slight improvement in horsepower and throttle response has been made. This is a look and sound that is aggressive. I cannot guarantee a significant increase in gas mileage because you won't be able to keep your foot from the pedal due to the angry "GROWL" sound you will hear. You shouldn't listen to the negative comments you read about it not sounding as good in the newer Silverados with active fuel management. It's true that you don't hear anything when you accelerate at first. It isn't until you hit 1500 rpm that you notice the increase in horsepower and that you hear the loud "growl". I am sure if this was paired with an exhaust system, the two would sound fantastic. You have come to the right place if you're looking for an upgrade that's budget friendly with a few perks. This is the only item I regret not buying.
If you have ever been under the hood of your truck, this is a very simple install. In the instructions, the installation is supposed to take 90 minutes, but I was able to finish it in 50 minutes. All the tools you need are not included in the kit. Because the seal for the air box is shipped in a generic length, it does need to be trimmed to fit the air box. The rest of it is straight forward and requires no installation. As far as performance is concerned, I can tell a difference, but this could also be a matter of personal preference. This was installed along with Borla exhausts on my 2015 Sierra, and I love the combination of the two. Using about 1. 36 miles a week and 250 miles, I'm getting about 1. 5 miles per gallon. According to the computer, I get 65 more miles per gallon on my standard commute. Having an open air box on the car allows you to hear the engine bark back in between full throttle shifts.
This unit was installed in my 2018 Silverado with 5. The V8 engine is a 3 liter unit. I really appreciated the instructions included in the package and the ease with which it was installed. The following mileage increase has occurred When the truck was new, the trip computer left 17 miles per gallon. Now, the truck has just surpassed 10000 miles and the trip computer is showing 19 miles per gallon. The best I have seen is 24 MPG over 50 miles on the trucks mileage screen. In general, I do not beat up on my truck, but will occasionally pass some "Sunday" drivers. A flat spot used to be noticed during acceleration, but now it is not noticeable. There is also a noticeable difference in the way the seat of the pants feels over the whole range of RPM. A sound increase has been heard The installation of this system on a previously owned Jeep product is much louder than what I installed on the previous product. Upon first logging in after installation, the first thing that surprised me was how pretty it was. It is always nice to listen to a healthy V8 and this certainly does not disappoint. Overall, if you're looking for a boost in MPG and power, and if you still want to hear the sweet V8 sound, this is the car for you.
A 6 is what I have. Chevy Silverado 1500 with a 2L engine. An improvement in engine growling has been made. While I am not able to notice any noticeable drone over my Borla Atak exhaust, I hear a slight drone at highway speeds now. My gas mileage has gone up 2 to 3 mpg in the last few days. I hope this goes away in time.
I can tell a huge difference in the sound of my Magna Flow exhaust. Despite the fact that I have never been mistaken for a gear head, I had no problem My experience was that following along with a video was easier than following instructions only. As a result of the weakness in the plastic PC valve hose fittings on the sides of the air intake, I had to cross thread them. While the thread is warned, I assumed the pipe should be flush against the thread, so after trying to tighten it by hand, I actually stripped it. We were ultimately able to find some brass fittings that were compatible and worked much better at Ace Hardware. As I have said, there isn't as much of a sound difference as I anticipated, but overall I am happy.
This product should not be used for any hot laps. NPT valves are very easy to break, as you can see here. When it didn't feel tight enough, I kept turning it, and then it snapped off. During my call to K&S, I received a derogatory answer. A replacement was sent to me free of charge by customer service. The next day, it arrived by 9 AM and I had resumed my is a shame that the plastic is kind of cheap, but the customer service more than makes This is a great recommendation!.
