It took me a while to figure out the fix for my P3497 engine code after I replaced the gasket for the original VVT that leaked oil all over. The aftermarket gasket would have solved the oil leak, but they were also made of the wrong material and were flaking apart at the seams. This caused the VVT to be gummed up with gasket material, causing the P3497 fault code to appear randomly. As part of this product, there were no seams on the gaskets, which were perfectly molded. After replacing everything that was included, I proceeded with the installation. I installed the new part after Dorman packaged up all of the gaskets, the plate and all of the alignment pins in this replacement part. Torqued to 104 inch pounds (104 in lbs), reconnected all the wires, and I was good to go. The following warnings apply to section Please do not use Hondabond High-quality The Temp Silicone Liquid Gasket or another gasket maker, sealer or silicone can be used. Pressurized oil flow picks up small pieces of the gasket material residue along with the oil flow, causing the VVT to jam and the VVT to once again need to be repaired. There will be no sealing problem with the gasket itself. **Warning ft, pound). If you can't find one at a local auto parts store and don't want to buy one on Amazon, visit a bicycle shop. the passenger side of the part described as a driver's side. It is the passenger side of the part for a 2010 Honda Odyssey. Ultimately, I had to return the drivers' side (incorrect description) and order this one and lost a few days as a result. My leak problem was resolved with this part, so I did not have any problems returning it.
You need an 8 lb torque setting, now that the vtec has improved response times.
Fix for pesky 2008 Honda P3497 Code that would randomly pop up (1 per month) while driving on the highway.
There is a DTC P3497 on my 2009 Honda Pilot. I am waiting for the 37240- now that both were replaced, the problem hasn't been resolved The R70 - The problem (A04, Oil Pressure Switch Assembly) must be resolved to guarantee that the problem is solved.
I replaced the Oil Pressure Switch Assembly, but it did not solve the problem.
I finally got the original Honda solenoid back in and I had no problems, it appears that the Dorman solenoid was defective at the factory.
In response, the Honda dealer told me the part was not available and that we'd have to purchase it as a whole for more than $300. My thanks to the company that made this product, it works like the original gasket and I saved.
It saved me a lot of money, the only thing I would suggest is to use old attaching hardware new bolts seem a little softer steel other than that excellent product I.
I don't have the right car for that.
