Do the solenoids included in this "pack" handle both intake and exhaust?

That's why "1" is in the name. The other part number for the intake will be shown if you scroll down to the "often bought with" section. The only aftermarket option I would suggest is to get a set with both for a little under half the price of this solenoid, but this is one of those things that should be an OEM replacement or high quality replacement at least. It may be a good idea to spray carb cleaner down the screens on yours if they have not been used too much. The extended oil service interval causes the engine to become gunky.

I have a '15 GMC Terrain with approximately 60K miles that got a P0010 code a few months back and was experiencing some stalling at low RPMs. As I tested both solenoids, the intake had some inconsistencies based on the first test but met specs on the second test. If the screens on the old solenoids are just dirty (and I think we should reduce the intervals between oil changes on these cars as they get older), then I am suspecting much the same. In spite of this, I purchased AC Delco from Amazon for both of them. It was possible to clear the codes We have not seen them or the stalling since they left. Several videos on YouTube explain how to access these parts, so you might try just letting the screen portion at the bottom of the solenoids soak in deodorant if you are doing your own work (they are all very accessible). Then I removed the grease with a grease remover (I used electrical contact cleaner to be safe) for a while, wiped thoroughly, then reapplied It might make a difference to install it and see what happens.

Reviewing the alternatives to this, I found most of them to be in the $20-$30 range A $25 donation. Based on a thorough review of each item, I came up with this list. My criteria was to check only those that were four-star rated or higher. The reviews suggesting that the alternate items were bad were so prominent that to choose this one, I looked for an alternative. I have searched for a nonrenewable energy source every time I wanted to As far as OEM items go, I have noticed this as well. some others, people had experienced problems a few days to a few months after theirs had been purchased. Hence, I am glad to order this one since it will be of high reliability like one used by a dealer. I visited a couple of sites to find out how much labor and the parts would cost for installation this was equivalent to that part cost, so I figured this was the fair retail price. I watched several YouTube videos to see how to install it and it seemed like I could do it. I would be able to save about $280 on labor if that is successful. In the end, I learned that the videos I watched were for an older model and that there were a couple of clamps to remove some sort of air cover, and then 2 screws to remove a larger cover. Getting rid of this item required the removal of a bolt. It was really, really cool to see how the mechanic removed the light for the reason that it didn't just pop out of its mounting hole This video shows him grasping a needle and injecting it Using nose pliers, gently grasped it just under the plastic head on the metal portion (on a small indentation or "lip"), and gave it a little lift. It lifted right out by golly, although I did have to leverage a little (like a lever). Those were the best moments of my life. Just before inserting the new part I used some of the oil covering the old part and applied it to the new one as well. In my case, I had a 2014 Buick Verano, and I had to remove a single bolt to remove the cover from the truck. I found the experience to be very good. In addition to putting the covering back on, I started the car and let it idle for about In order to clear the error code, I turned off the car and used my OBD 2 tool. Once again, I restarted the car and the error code was gone. In addition to the engine being smooth again after the first 5 minutes of driving, I also noticed the car was driving much better. As a result of replacing both my injection and exhaust solenoids, my error codes P0010 and P0011 have been eliminated. Those assigned to P0011 were cleared and never returned. Most of the time, my car will reset the codes by itself, but it may take up to about 70 miles to reset the codes. As a result, I was able to clear them now using my OBD 2 tool. Even if there was still an error, it would have been detected almost immediately. As I was reading about the causes of those codes, a couple of sources expressed that there could be a list of several causes of them. Generally, the first thing you will want to check is whether your oil is low, too dirty (old) or sludge-filled. Another thing to check is if you can remove or clean out these solenoids. In any case, most people replace them due to the nature of going through the process of pulling them out. Third, if replacing the solenoids doesn't fix the problem, the cost of repairs becomes increasingly high. As there is plenty of detailed information available, I'm not going any further with this. The intake and exhaust of a solenoid, for those who are not aware, are both connected. Moreover, I noticed that the alternate items (that I didn't select) did not declare that they are "variable" like this one does, which is required by my vehicle. I also got the other one for that, so I have now Gray is on one head and black is on the other. You can get both of them on Amazon, if you search for both by ACDelco GM Original Equipment 12679100 and ACDelco GM Original Equipment 12679099. Upon receipt of both entries, one was in a General Motors box and the other In fact, both items seemed to be much more solid and of higher quality than I had seen on the other items. It is strongly recommended that you For about $30, I originally bought both the intake and exhaust Variable Valve Timing (VVT) solenoids as aftermarket parts. As soon as the installation was complete, my vehicle began to rumble and stall. Having tested resistance, the ACDelco (GM) OEM parts (intake and exhaust) were an immediate success. My error light was gone within a few minutes of installation. Neither of the new parts had a higher resistance than 12. In other words, cheap aftermarket parts are not the same as expensive OEM parts. Original equipment manufacturers work on OEM projects. Previously, the old Solenoids were registered at 12 (intake) and would not give a reading for exhaust. I found it dead on the ground. Due to its recommended replacement and for obvious reasons, the intake and exhaust have been replaced. I would recommend cleaning your oil on a regular basis. It will clog the VVT Solenoids if it is not changed often.

Several rough shifts were observed in my 2008 HHR after the P0013 error code was thrown. In the end, it was the exhaust VVT solenoid that was to blame. It had been recommended that these (ACDelco 12679100) should be purchased from the manufacturer. As soon as I unplugged the negative battery cable, removed the air box, and blew out the dirt, the hardest part of the installation was removing the plug on top of the solenoid (requiring As far as I can tell, the little gray clip came off just fine). With a pair of needle-nose vice grips, it was easy to pop out the old part. Make sure the new one is oily, then you need to push it down until you hear a Finally, tighten the bolts until they click, plug everything in again, and you're all set. CEL is no more! We've once again had a smooth ride.

Equinox Chevy 2 2010 part is just right for this vehicle. With a 4L engine and the exhaust code P0013, the exhaust is a perfect fit, taking just 20 minutes to install using basic tools and a By disconnecting the ground side of the battery and leaving it disconnected for a few minutes, the engine error code was cleared. We were able to resolve the issue this way. Since 200 miles ago, there has been no return of the code. I am now getting two more miles per gallon than I was A leak of oil has not been detected. Parts were shipped that were worn out and dirty and not even the right part

I bought it used, the description said it was new but the box was damaged. The part was soaked in dirty oil and the bolts were almost completely rounded and stripped. There was a sticker next to the box saying that 'prime inspection' had been passed. The manner in which it passed is a mystery to me. There is also a statement that the plug will fit the 2013 Buick Verano, but there is not even the correct plug included. There was a part that needed to be thrown out. That was a waste of time, thanks!.

For my 2013 Equinox 20, I purchased this product. After I ordered (Amazon listed a better price than all auto part stores), I received the part quickly. It fit like a glove! The oil leaks did not appear in my engine, and the check engine light disappeared. There have been 12K miles on it and it has worked fine for me. I would recommend and purchase again if necessary.
