Do you know if it will work with the Madza Protage ?

There is a part on that part that belongs to

The Throttle Body is affected by this, right?

The throttle body is not for it. This is a grommet that the pcv valve should fit You need to replace the valve and grommet on the top of the engine. I'm not sure what type of work you're trying to do to your throttle body, but it certainly does not involve your PCV

The old one will not come out. What do I do? In fact, it's stuck inside the valve cover and is very hard to remove. ?

Put some thin oil on the item (Marvel mystery oil, liquid wrench) and let it sit for a few minutes. Take it out piece by piece, or pry it out. **David **

Below are a few installation notes As a general rule, I recommend replacing this valve cover gasket when choosing to replace a valve cover gasket. In order to change out the part on a transversely mounted V6, with the valve covers still attached, requires a degree of masochism and dedication towards automotive service. During a valve cover replacement while the old unit is still attached to the engine block, there is a likelihood you might lose pieces, and the material might fall down into the engine. There are internal baffles which should keep most of the material in close proximity When I've encountered similar problems (on other cars), I've been able to draw the parts up using the vacuum cleaner nozzle until I could reach them with a needle nose plier. Many mechanics told me that it is not a big deal if rubber fragments fall into the oil, as they will break down over time and be caught by the filter after a while.

Make it slippery by lubricating it to the bone
5/5

If you needed this in 05), then you will need it. You will die out your current grommet over time as extreme heat cycles make it hard and dry. Moreover, this little bugger will crack and break into pieces the day you replace your valve cover gasket. There will be a few pieces that will get stuck in In addition, if you're lucky, you will have the opportunity to remove the cover again since it got broken when you plugged in the PCV after everything had been bolted in place. In other words, if you are planning on replacing your valve cover gasket, it's wise to also replace this grommet. The hard way, as you might have already learned if you're reading this.

Replacing this valve with a PCV valve is also recommended
5/5

It perfectly fit the Toyota Tacoma 3, which was manufactured in 2002. The PCV valve should be replaced as well with the 4L V6. When removing the grommet, use a small locking forcep, needlenose pliers, and a screw driver to gouge the grommet and break it apart. Be very careful when doing so, as it will most likely break into many small pieces. While using the screws and pliers in your other hands, you can hold the hole with the locking forceps to prevent it from falling into the hole. You may need to use a small scissors or knife to cut the grommet, then use forceps to remove it.

Whenever you have an old item, I highly recommend putting a shop vac next to it
4/5

This part is used to replace the grommet on the Toyota valve cover, where the PCV connects. You should note Prying old grommets out can cause the rubber to break into pieces, which will fall inside the valve cover and need to be cleaned out, making it necessary to take off the valve cover. Several rubber pieces slipped through my fingers as I tried to catch them. It is highly recommended that you place a shop vac right next to the grommet, as you remove it.

This installation was done on a 1999 The part looks and feels the same as Toyota OEM and is half the price
4/5

I hope the durability is the same as Toyota OEM. If you have to remove an old grommet, use a Hemostat to hold it It wouldn't do you any good if it got lost inside the engine. In addition,.

In the future, I want to replace the PCV valve and grommet every 15,000 miles
5/5

A brittle grommet had come loose from the valve cover and was leaking oil vapors into the valve cover. The valve cover itself was stained by the oil vapors. As I removed the old dirty PCV valve, a curved section fell into my valve cover. I tried to pry out the grommet with a putty knife and lift it out, but it did not work. As it happened, I had planned to remove the valve cover to replace its seals, so I was able to easily pull out the fragment when I turned the lid upside down. 40,000 miles probably was too long to wait to replace that grommet and valve. I now know that it should have been done earlier. As the grommet and valve heat up, they become sooty and dirty. An oily substance It is common practice to inspect and clean the carburetor periodically with carb cleaner spray to avoid loosing the tight fit of the valve into the grommet or weakening the grommets. My plan is to replace the PCV valve and grommet no more often than every 15,000 miles or every two years, no more frequently It's hard on a car and its oil when I take frequent but short trips. At Amazon, you can get this combo for just $10. Compared to other maintenance items, this is a good deal. According to what I understand, a poorly vented crankcase can cause overpressure and wear on gaskets and seals, oil will be pushed upward into piston rings, and crud and varnish will build up in the engine. You can drop a piece of the old gasket inside your valve cover if you remove an old gasket. It made me feel the same way. Because such Toyota engines are prone to sludge and varnish formation, I think they need good exhaust ventilation, and might also be problematic with valve covers and PCV valves clogging up. As you can see, I found the Beck Arnley grommet to be stiff like hard ebony rubber, somewhat like softened hard plastic, and to have a similar shape to the old grommet. The cost of this brand is higher than some of the others, but I chose it because it gets excellent reviews here, so I installed it in The following are the 2L4 requirements With 165,000 miles, the cylinder is worn out. The inside and outside surfaces of the rig were very tightly fitted, so I decided like many others here to lubricate it generously with fresh motor oil, since it was My first step was to insert the seemingly oversize gasket very carefully, so that it was a snug fit, then to wedge the new (Fram) PCV valve into it by applying pressure and slightly twisting it. It even involved replacing the old brittle and cracking PCV hose with about 3" of new 8mm silicone hose, and then painting the valve cover gray Plasti-Dibond. This engine enamel is suited for kote engines. It's now safe to say that the valve cover assembly is better than new, even if all else is bad.
