The spring on my unit was only installed once, and it started holding 8 psi and after a week it started holding 10 psi
However, I do not think they are made of steel but they work well

Beware, as the machining is poor so the product leaks a lot. It just needs to be sealed before use. Since buying an authentic Tial is so much more expensive, I'm not too bothered by it.
The wastegate is great, I followed the suggestion of the other reviewer. 1 *br 2) Removed and cleaned the wastegate. I sealed it with RTV to eliminate any leaks
However, I left the springs in and they held 30 psi on a Holset There is no other choice but to kill them.
When I had it on, it was spiking a lot of boost over 20 When I opened it up, I found it had two heavy springs inside. I had to remove one to make about eight pounds.
I was very pleased with the product. It fit perfectly, the shipping was fast, and the product arrived undamaged. While it looks nice, it leaks under pressure even after I have taken it apart and make sure everything is secure, but my rig still builds boost, but it may not reach its full potential Mabe I just need to get a bunk instead of a rig.
Then I will just return it and buy from somewhere else.
Despite being a great product, the only downside was that there were around 20 springs inside. The spring rate was 30 psi, so I had to go out and buy new springs, but the seal was in good shape.
I've had no problems with it. I bought a MBC separately and used a 7psi spring on it. It is also advantageous that the top portion of the wastegate can also accept the bleed-off pressures from the MBC to help keep it closed under low boost conditions and high engine manifold loads. It's amazing how smart you are.
